dosn't work on NHL 11 big files.. :(

FATAL C:\Users\FreddaN\Downloads\fifafs_5.3.10\nis.big is not a regular .big file

or I am doing something wrong?

they're probably different from the fifa .bigs.You can search in the nhl modding sites to see if there is something for you.

Unfortunately, our results only rely on what the FIFA community is able to do. The .big-archives apparently do have a different file header and thus aren't editable so far, which is a shame because the textures also are rx2/rx3 textures and this would have marked the first time we were able to open the NG-textures.

Hi everyone,

this is my first login since April 2003, so I guess one can say I definitely haven't been around a lot. However, this is great news not only to FIFA and the modding community, but to EA communities in general. Why?

It's actually pretty simple: NHL, for example, uses exactly the same texture format (rw4xb2 headers) for its textures and I'd absolutely love to be able to mod that game as well (Xbox 360 this time). Therefore I do have a question someone will hopefully be able to help me out with:

Since 360 images to not contain an executable file like .exe, but .xex instead, I am (so far) not able to extract any textures from any files/archives (.big) by using Texmod. Do any of you have an idea how to extract these RX3 textures from within the .big-archives and -more importantly- convert them to a format that can be opened and edited in Photoshop?

I'd be damn glad if you could help me out here, for this would definitely be a huge boost to all EA gaming communities, since I hear NBA and Madden seem to be using the same texture files as well.

Regards,

- Ben

Check the below site, it contains a program that can open FIFA11 DB:

im a part of nhl modding sites, nhl 11 is only for console, which you cant edit anyway.

09 was last game released for pc, & i have mine modded insanely, 04 too.

& whoever said nhl view works, it prolly would.
but console editing cant be done, maybe on xbox 360, but once the xbox does a disc check, it will fail & game wont read.

i hack xbox, psp, all that ****, i know what im talking about.

Wrong. Once you have a flashed firmware or JTAG your console, you're ready to go and can easily play backups as well as modded games. Believe me, I've done it a lot in my time.

@ V|rus & regularcat - On the console side its always fun to mod the physical files but I think if we are to make any patches (and not having to jtag / flash firmware) efforts should be made on modifying the teams downloaded from Live (see Creation Center). Since these will be flat files located on the console's local storage device, it will be easier (in theory) to modify and deploy.

Remember, not everyone is like us (I myself enjoy mod'in xbox's been doing it for years) but your average gamer is not likely to run out and get the xbox jtaged or flashed. Just my two cents here ;)

Like regularcat mentioned, I have made attempts to mod FIFA in earler releases (xbox 1st gen) and had limited success. If I can be of any help if such a project is kicked off, I'd be more than happy to assist (just throwing my hat in the ring here) ;)

Thanks

Yes, is not reading the db right, but.....maybe is the base for a future DBmaster. Not to use as it is.
