First timer confused on mod elements

This is my first time really messing around with FIFA 13 on PC and the world of mods available.
I would like to have squads to begin the 2013-2014 seasons with FIFA13 (specifically the France Ligue 1 squads) and if possible real stadium names and updated kits.
Is there a mod that only updates the squads and another that only does graphic elements or must one always get everything altogether? Sorry, I just don't know how this works in FIFA.

they can be done separately if you wish, as of right now there is not a database with the completely up-to-date squads as ea will save that for 14 and another dollar out of your pocket.

you can download the latest squad update through origin and use those and then add whatever graphic mods you want, there are a few sticky threads to get you started in the editing forum.

Well then why do I see so many mods where people have updated transfers up to the start of this season? I was referring to modifications to the squads done by users here, not official FIFA updates which are probably full of errors anyway.

i can promise you that the squads are not 100% accurate, use them if you want, 14 will be the next time you see correct squads.

no but nhl has a massive modding community where you can always get correct rosters.

What makes FIFA's squads so accurate? Is it that there are fewer transactions?

I can't believe nobody has updated the squads to the beginning of the new season. Seems like there's always someone who does. There are even people at moddingway who have updated the jerseys.

I'm not sure how EA's squad updates work because I don't update FIFA 13. But it seems to me that's the most obvious solution. Regardless, you can do the updates yourself, just download and install CM 13. Very easy to use and to transfer players from one team to another.

Evo-Web has a sticky thread dedicated to editing tools; every thread link to every editing tool can be found in that one thread. Something like that would be a big help around here, plus it would give new members an overview of what can be edited and modded.
