I doubt that as well. The Next-gen engine Fifa uses would be more demanding to your PC then Crysis... That's what an developer said in an interview when Fifa2008 came out.

By the way I don't think that the engine is too high for actual pcs.
The graphics of next-gen FIFA aren't sooooo über-good.

Next-Gen games are not only about graphics, it is more about processing and data implementation of the game from the disk to the TV screen. When you play FIFA on next-gen console you can immediately feel how players are much smarter and more human! And even after playing for 6 months now, I can't predict moves as much as I use to do for the PC version. Next-Gen consoles are made for that propose. :)

A PC can definitely run high performance games, but having an Multi-use OS (OSX, Linux or even VISTA) makes the process nearly impossible to happen, and that is why I doubt that we will see the quality of next-gen games on PC's anytime soon; having said that, I have very high hopes for the new engines such as the CryENGINE 2 and the Unreal engine.

To conclude, the footage that you have seen from the trailer is strictly next-gen and is not available for PC in that exact quality; it is hard to happen and will not happen anytime soon.

Off course... as usuall the console verson want look as good as this, cause its a prerendered movie. Not actual game footage.

Actually what you have seen is 100% in-game and actual footage from the console version. :)

Gone are the days when they use to have a special team to create special footage for the trailer or game intro! now it is all about picking the best moves and sticking videos together which is perfectly nice; and yes, I'm talking about EA Sports; Konami still uses the old method, and you know the reasons. :p

I seriously doubt that's the official boxart cover. I mean, considering there are TWO German flags on it, and the UEFA EURO 2008 is played in Switzerland and Austria... That just seems too weird to be the real cover.
They should change the two flags to an Austrian flag and a Swiss flag...:D

Probably the flags represent the in-game language. :)

I don't think they will release any current generation stuff soon. Think how long it took for this trailer, at least EA didn't do it on its own, it was gametrailers who uploaded it. And by the way, I think it's like last year and FIFA 08, there will be only 1 or 2 screens for cg because EA does not dare to show us these baaaad graphics and just wants the average gamer to believe that Euro 08's graphic is of course the ng graphic.(N)

08 was based on 07, so answering your question: 09 is going to be based on the 08 and 07 engines.
