I can't ever score Free-kicks they're allways over the bar.. Can anyone help?

Q: How do you score Free-kicks?

I find if your just outside the box that really lightly tap the button, if its further away do near to the top of the power bar, not right at the top and 3 quarters of the way

Free kicks are actually too easy if you know how to do them... aim at any side of the goal, then hold D until the bar is 50% filled and then you have to really fast press Shift and then hold Up arrow. The ball will result in spinning downwards in the air and easily beats the wall and goalkeeper just cant reach it, both at his closer and farer sides

Ps2 works best like this I have found:

Hold up on the L stick for topspin.

Power up your kick to about 50%

During the run up move the L stick to the center and then Left or center then right to add side spin.

I have scored twice in 6 games from FK's since using this method. Misses look a lot better too. No more howlers into the upper decks.

Ive score a goal frm a free kick were i was so far back they didnt use a wall. mind u a wall wuld not have stop the goal.
I was about 40 yard frm goal on the angle. Aim my shot by the corner flag. Hold o dwn 3/4 of the way, while run hold up left. it swung about 20 yards in the top corner.Oh yea

I have scored several times by pressing (on Logitech Dual Action) the #3 button while holding down on the 5 button at top. This is for a hard driven low shot.

For a Shot into a Top Corner:

aim at the side of the goal you want to shot. Then Press the Shootbutton and simultaneously the Left Stick to wherever you want to spin the ball.

At least that worked for me and I'm now scoring from almost every freekick.

well sometimes it also depends on the freekick take i have noticed with chelsea i score more freekicks with Shevchenko then i do with Lampard. so the quality of the players accuracy and power can also improve your chances.

funny thread... aim to the corner and turn the left analog stick diagonal up (depends on the side you want to spin the ball)... every free kick goes in... it sucks...watch your power.

If you are near the box, aim to the side of the goal, lightly tap the shoot button, quickly hold the left/right button for lots of spin, depends on what side you are. 90% of the time it will go in. always aim for the near post. To do a low shot hold the the button you hold for the chip shot while pressing shoot (not as effective for scoring)

I find I score from free kick using the Layoff man 2 knock it way frm the wall. Then Do a finesce sht in the top corner.

i always go over the wall, no curl just topspin. the only variable is the strength of the kick which is always less than 50% (and depending how close you are).

aim at the part of the goals protected by the wall and close to the post (but not too close), hold up on the left stick and then hold shoot briefly to the required power and watch it go in.

i'd say i score about 80% of the time when in a decent position, ie within 30m and relatively straight.

hold L2 and let the other player kick it but always aim near post..ive scored prob bout 30 times from doing this but its boreing and now i miss playing Pro Evo!

The best free kick is where the first guy dummies over it and the second guy shoots without any run-up.
