A soccer referee who ordered a muslim player to remove her head-dress during a weekend match, could face disciplinary action.

The match between South Melbourne and Keilor Park was postponed , after an umpired ordered Afifa Saad to leave the field, unless she removed her hi jab.

The Victorian Soccer Federation says she deserves an apology.

this is in the real minor leagues in australia, but its really dissapointing to see this sort of stuff

The same thing happened to my team ages ago at an indoor soccer touranment for school, one of our players was indian and wore a turban, and the ref told him to take it off. We argued, and eventaully got him to play, the ref was a retard, as they are all . :f***:

I think football has very strict rules on what can and can't be worn. If you can't wear the thing on your head according to the rules, take it off.

what effect does wearing cloth on your head have to football anyways. ITs not like its a hard helmet that may injure another player :p
