Game crashes on start-up!!!

Just installed FIFA 2003, i start-up the game, but it wont get past the black screen with the loading cursor because it crashes...anyone know whats wrong?

First of all, reinstall completely...

Secondly... have you installed any patches/addons? (Even down to kits etc...)

Nope ive re-installed it a couple of times and dont have any add-ons or patches. It even crashes after the installation when the game starts up.

Here's a suggestion:

Uninstall the game, then go to the Program Files directory and find the EA Sports directory which has your FIFA directory in it. If this is the only EA Sports game you own, I say, delete that entire EA Sports directory. Otherwise, at least delete the FIFA directory.

Now restart your computer, and try installing it again. Another thing you may want to try is doing TYPICAL INSTALL and going with whatever the default options are. I remember something like that happened with a game I used to own (EA Sports' F1 2000). To make it run faster, I did a complete install, and it wouldn't start. So I deleted it and tried typical install, worked like a charm.
