Gamespot 360 Hands On preview (no mention of team reduction)

Hi y'all. Just been on the Gamespot Uk site and seen a hands on preview of FIFA 07 for the X360. Despite a thread to the contrary, there is no mention of a reduction in teams (it claimed 150 in the other thread) and Andy Gray and Martin Tyler handle commentary for the 360 - not Clive Tyldesley and Martyn Tiler as claimed. (Why would you have two play by play guys together anyway?)

I can't say why they didn't mention it but it's a sure thing, official forum site confirmed. Still not sure about the teams included but 99.9% there are 5 leagues + some NT's.

im not too fussed by the teams to be honest, pro evo has just as many and that is easily the best footie game on the market in my opinion, so i aint too bothered, although i know my beloved WBA wont be in there :nape:

I was thrilled when I heard about FIFA 07 on 360...the screens looked great but now... i am not bying the game...if its 5 leagues...TO hell with EA! Do they really expect people to buy it with so little teams! Thats pathetic

Honestly I don't care if they reduce the leagues as long as they keep mainly the teams in the Champions League and other important teams from each continent. I don't see why there should be 2nd division English French, Spanish leagues, etc. Granted there are fans out there, obviously, but there's no way EA could accurately give all the stats and attributes of every player if "no name" players were included. I'm Portuguese so I watch SuperLiga games all the time, but honestly, there's no "amazing" teams in the league besides the big three: Porto, Sporting and Benfica...

So I guess what I'm saying is, if EA is going to do something well, there would probably have to be some sacrifice somewhere.... it happens to be on the number of teams, and I will live with that. I don't think it warrants any "screw EA! they suck blah blah blah." You do a better job at designing a game. And before you throw PES arguments out there, remember how many legit teams are in that game (Nothing against PES, I like both FIFA and PES...)

I have to admitt that i will be pissed off if i cant play with Crewe Alexandra, i for one want all the leagues in as thats the only reason i buy Fifa, i just think that EA has been very lazy with their sports games on the 360 ie no extra uniforms or euro teams in madden 07 as they want us to buy them on Live.

I remember the good old days where only national teams were avaible and it was funny. If they have to cut things out in order to improve gameplay, graphics etc, then i really don't mind. And remember, it's always easier to edit teams then gameplay.

even if there will be a lack of teams will more than enough make up for the lack of leagues because of this they have improved the Authenticity of each player in those leagues so you feel like you are trying to defend against RONALDINHO or ROONEY. :)
