what is ur driver version and system specs ?
I also have a Geforce4 MX 440 and it runs gr8. Were u able to run the game properly before u updated ur driver? Try updating it again if possible. Dont update to the latest driver version which is 73 or somethin, they r meant for newer cards like the FX and 6 & 7 series ones. Update it to say 52 or around. My version is 52.16 .Check the resolution u have set.
