Copa Libertadores 1996 Final : River plate vs. America de Cali (2nd Leg). River lost the first 1-0 and won this 2-0 with 2 Crespo goals (last second epic 2nd goal)

Wasn't the Supercopa final in 97 even better than this one? If I'm not mistaken it holds some kind of attendance record in the Monumental stadium.

In the Libertadores 96 we had more flares...in the Supercopa there were more papers...

In the Libertadores you couldn't see the players becouse of the smoke...

It was in 1996, now flares are banned from stadiums...at least in Buenos Aires.

They're officially banned in the ArenA aswell, yet every game you still see one or two.
I prefer the whole croud singing chants though(for example you'll never walk alone at Anfield).

I honetly prefer to see flares, and of course the all stadium singing, but the flares just give that infernal environment...

Amazing photo there.Flares create this colorful volcano atmosphere and I personally love seeing them, they add alot to the atmosphere.
