I personally loved the Van Persie goal....not the actual goal but the way it was built up. Simply fantastic. They were all amazing really....
Now, it really seems to me like Romania will go through. The Dutch will almost certainly play reserve players, plus, I'm sure that they'd rather have Romania as a potential opponent at the semis rather than Italy or France.

I wouldn't underestimate the Oranje reserves, though, when you have Huntelaar, Afeellay, Bouma, etc as backup, you can still beat Romania.
Holland playing some amazing football, a joy to watch, which is great considering the rest of the tournie hasn't been spectacular.
EDIT: Fili, Portugal is another great team, but Holland would go through if they meet, IMO. I think Scolari would be able to prevent a 3 goal margin, but they're just too strong and have too muchy momentum. People doubted Holland because they had a great attack, but their defence seemed lacking, but the defence has proven to be tremendous. Simiarly, people had some soubts about Portugal because despite a great defence and midfield, they lack a striker of the same calibre, and that seems to be the case, as, IMO, Gomes has not added much, as a striker, to the team, as can be seen by him getting subbed in both matches, despite being captain. Also, I don't think Portugal will be able to handle Holland's pace. Even Maks, who has the stamina of a horse, looked tired at the last ten minutes today, and neither Petit nor Moutinho look like they can handle all that the Oranje midfield packs, especially when at any moment, they can bring in a sub of the same level, whose fresh off the bench, and win the match in a single counter. That said, I'd love to see a Portugal - Holland match because they're looking like the best teams in the tournie, it's very possible that we'll see them in the Final.

I'd love to see the Netherlands pull a Euro 2004 Sweden 2-2 Denmark to knockout Italy/France in one go. THey won't wanna face Italy/France in the knocout, they'll finish on top of this group anyways, maybe a weak side and some shadowy behind closed doors management advice to the players and Romania might get a win. Or Romania can win from pure talent >_>

lots of pundits have had Spain and Portugal as the teams that could win it all. After these two performances, no way you can write Holland off..
True but the goal that they gave up was a bit soft. They're defenders probably have more confidence but aren't world class either, don't get too hyped up, but feel free to laugh if Romania go through, I'd love for them to. They're a pretty good footballing country but don't do well internationally.
The Netherlands have really impressed me with their fast paced counter-attacking brand of football. They also keep the ball and pass it about well when they need too.
This Dutch teams looks to be on fire, but the only thing that bugs me is the fact that they have it their way early on in both of their matches, against Italy, Ruud's goal and just now, the Kuyt goal, u know what I mean?
This allowed them to sit back and absorb pressure from France just like they did against Italy. As for France, Thuram is really on his last wheels with Gallas and Sagnol not getting any younger...and Henry played better towards the end but should've taken his chance and France probably could've gotten a penalty for the Ooijer handball. Ribery was probably their best player ahead of Toulalan, Gomis looked really lost.
I'd like to see how the Dutch respond if lets say, Romania get the early break/goal against them.
