From what I've read, that type of permit is way too easy to get in the US. Here, there is no reason to be licensed for a weapon that can be concealed, unless you're a sporting handgun shooter. And again, you would need to attend so many meets (6 I think) per year of a registered club.

i don't think they will change the standard on the type of weapon be it a pistol, semi or auto due to the second amendment and they are all guns in general.

That's the stupidest argument ever. Most full automatics are already illegal (AK 47s etc). As are Bazookas etc. The right is to bear arms isn't a right to bear ANY guns, but to SOME guns.
