Hello guys, as you probably know, the FIFA 2003 is soon to come.
And you already saw some screenshots but......

Who told you that those Screenshots are for the PC GAME?, they're for Playstation 2, so... let's see what happened the last year in EA....
-The NBA-Live 2002 was very very near to get into the stores, for all the consoles (or almost) and for PC, but... wait a minute...
in the final weeks/months EA decided to DON'T MAKE THE GAME FOR PC, they told that it was stupid to make it for PC because it's an Arcade game, but do you really think that it's a real motive?, and... do you really belive the NBA is an ARCADE game? I DON'T THINK SO....
Anyway, maybe you didn't know this because we don't care too much about NBA's Games, but I know some things....

If EA decide to don't make the FIFA Football 2003 what would you do?, I think that they can do the same as they did with the NBA 2002, they could came here and tell us:
"Sorry about all the PC users, but we think that FIFA Football 2003 is a Strategy game, and it's suitable to make it for the consoles"..... or maybe the don't came here, maybe they tell to Soccergaming to put those "EXCUSES" or NEWS in www.fifa2002.com or in www.soccergaming.tv

I want you to remmeber that the other NBA-Live Game versions existed in PC.
So, let's be a little bit quite and think the things more easy.

I don't think EA would be THAT stupid, to not release Fifa on the PC...I'm mean, they're skating on thin ice as it is with the Fifa buying community. It would really be the ultimate slap in the face to Fifa fans if they were to do that...

I didn't say that THEY WON'T DO IT, I said that we HAVE TO BE ALARMED, and we shouldn't emotionate ourselves with EVERY THING WE SEE ABOUT the FIFA Football 2003, because in October we can FIND A SURPRISE.

EA have made a huge step this year and will be investing a lot of time and effort into making sure the FIFA community (who play FIFA on PC) have as much input and support for the game as possible. FIFA games will be coming out on PC for many, many, many more years to come.

NBA Live is most definitely an Arcade Game, and it is much better on Console. Have you ever played Live on the computer? It sucks. Ever played FIFA on a console? It's not as good as on the Computer. FIFA is better on a Computer, Live is better on console, same thing with American Football. That's why FIFA will always be on PC, and other sports games will transition away from it.

Just to get a couple things straight.

I've been following the Live scene since NBA Live2000. Although I never posted in the major site dedicated to EA's basketball game, http://www.sportplanet.com/nbalive/ , I read those boards at least once per month.
That site was founded by a fan that actually made it to the EA sports NBA team as a production manager or something like that, back in 2001 (you never know, Matt ).

The decision to not produce NBA Live 2002 was made public way before the release of that game and not just a few weeks before. It's unplausible that a major company would spend time and money making a PC version to simply scrap it just before its release.
In fact, EA didn't make the 2002 version of its popular basketball series simply because the previous version got so many bad criticism that they decided to skip one year to come up with an even better game.
I've already seen a couple of sneak previous of NBA Live 2003 and I'm very excited with it (and now I sound like that Nico guy from EA talking ).

About NBA-Live being an arcade game, I really don't think it is and neither does EA. They've been focusing on making the game more "real" and their marketing for the new version even emphasizes on this subject.
I've never heard of this excuse - "they told that it was stupid to make it for PC because it's an Arcade game" - and I'm almost 100% sure that EA never said it.

I've never played any Live version other than in the PC. My fave is NBA Live 2000, with the fantastic "Franchise" option. I wish FIFA had that thing...

maybe nba 2001 had poor sales for the pc and high ones for the consoles so they nether bothered cos only a few people would buy it for the pc

loads of people buy fifa for the pc so they will keep on releasing it for the pc
