Help with Crosses/corners

I'm trying hard to get better at corners and I noticed that my players are staying back so that the ball will arrive at their feet and not attacking to play a headder. Is there any trick to this, any setting/button I should use or do I have to take control of the player and change their position? OR is it the kicker's fault? (BTW, i have tried to move the player to a better headding position but I've been very inconsistent at it).

Also, I designed a set play for a corner and I can't figure out how to call it in the game or even in practice. Thanks guys.

Are you using manual controls? Oddly enough, I found manual crossing/corners to be deadly this year (or maybe I just have the perfect touch, IDK). I've scored more goals already via headers from crosses and corners than I've scored in the past several years of playing FIFA, no exaggeration. And this is on legendary difficulty BTW.

However, I do have the CPU speed and agility sliders set at 44, and I think slowing down CPU reaction like that also slows down their response to crosses. Which may well be the reason I've been unusually successful.

In other words mate, if you don't figure it out, do what I did and CHEAT! Ha! ;)

Lol, well, I have crossing on assisted.... and I don't really care too much about the ai settings... I'm really just training to do this online for head to head matches. I was sending balls from the corner to one lone striker vs the goalie when I noticed that I wasn't getting headders and the ball was coming in at chin level.

Create a custom formation with as many players as possible pushed all the way forward. When you have a corner, pause and switch to this "flood the box" formation. After the kick, pause and switch back to your normal formation. To heck with strategy and figuring out the controls. With that many men forward, the ball is bound to bounce in off one of them. :)
