last 2 years been so good (especially year 2004)... started playing nearly 6/7 times a week... ive been pre-scouted in 10th grade (when scouting is only for 11th and 12th) - they have been telling me i can easily make a Div-1 college. you know, lifes been pretty good. until 2 weeks ago. i had pains, and for a week i was taking anti-biotics. last week on monday i had an emergency operation and i am recovering.... altho i certainly will not be going for a professional career anymore because i have lost something which is very dear to me and i dont want to lose the other :$

so much hope. turns into nothing at all.

thank G-d! this reason kind of cheers me up ;)

anyway, i might just keep going to college level, but not being what i am (they say i play exactly like reyes except i have more skills and a better right foot. im very fast and am a tricky player), i might just relax on the intensity i play and just be more of a playmaker, which is what i was when i was a younger kid.

Well can't you use your soccer skills to get a scholarship for University? Atleast you can get your education paid for.

yes i can, but a) im not gonna play for at least another month, which is slowly starting the season here. and b) im not gonna have all my skills back straight off. its gonna take time. c) i will never be as agressive as i always want to be, at least i dont think i would. but yes, i can get it to college, but then at college i HAVE TO play good for the team, or else theyll kick me out, therefor its even more hard work

Tough luck bro. When you do decide what college to go to, make the right choice onwhether you want D1 or not. I at first wanted to go to a D1-D3 school, but wasn't heavily recruited and chances are I wasn't going to play as much. So instead I decided to go to a NAIA Div 3 school here in Kansas and I've received more playing time than I ever could, I've also receieved some hardware ( Conference Champs) and the title of best turnaround program for the last 70 years.

If you want to take things slow I highly recommend going for the smaller schools and then working your way up, with your cautious mind set and your assumed D1 skill level you should be allright and stand out when you do go on a team. After playing here for two years now ( i'm going to be a junior next fall ) i've looked around and have been recruited by 8 D3-schools, 5 D2-Schools and 2 D1-Schools and several NAIA schools.

I hope all ends up working out for you bud, and about what people say about you, dont let that influence your decision on where to go, because there are about a million other kids who are getting the same thing--- I was told since my freshman year that I'm allright and get the job done, i'm not compared to any real player because i'm myself and that has helped me keep my head low and focused. I'm just speaking from experience, so i thought i'd pass it on, not trying to sound like some college guru but college soccer and highschool are two very different organizations, oh and in college the game is rougher beyond belief and faster, it makes highschool level look like highschool girls soccer...ugh.

thanks alot bro... really helped... well the thing is for skool we only play indoors and i am (not lying here) truly like 100 times better than anyone else. its clear to everyone who watches and stuff. but its just broing for me. i play once a week outdoors and i have been playing with a kid who got into BU full scholarship for soccer (i htink it was BU) - and hes not that good tbh. if hes rated as a 8, i would be a 9... so how does BU compare to everywhere else? what division is it in?
