How To achieve UEFA Leagues In First Season Of Career Mode

I haven't started a career as of yet, but I tried this as a test and it didn't work when just using Fidel's CM editor. Seems the other way is to find a program that opens the big files and to work from there. Thanks to others who have helped to explain how to do this.

My question is why can some get it to work using just the editor, and why do some need to get into the big files to make this work? Just trying to better understand how to use these tools.

I don't have a clue, I'm not that good with editing actually. I just stumbled upon this, and it's all I need for my FIFA to be perfect (asides from extra faces off course, and I also want to get rid of those over the top transfers.)

Thanks Raindog42. I can't get Texture Editor 12 to work, even after installing all of the framework programs. I tried Texture Editor 11 out and that works for me. When looking at the file in the big folder, it is indeed still listed at the value of 1.

I followed some of the steps listed for using TE 12 to change the cmsettings file, but nothing seems to be working. I guess I am not sure how to edit this file and then get it back in the database so it is correctly read. I'll keep plugging away though as I have to learn. Hopefully can read this and let me know what I am doing wrong in the meantime. :)

Thanks Raindog42. I got it working as I started over and followed some directions that you helpful folks gave me. I must have done something wrong, but all set now. Thanks again for your help! :)

when i click on save in fidel's career mode editor...there is only a click sound...does it mean that my settings have been saved or not......i still haven't been able to do this. please help me.

i open data1.big
cmsettings....savetogamepath
active into big folder
open cmsetting with editor
change the value to 0
save
then click on option 2 ( save but only click sound...is it right)
the regenerate(take care....)

pls point out my mistake...is there anything wrong with the order.

That should be correct. I am not at home to look at it, and am not sure what tool you are using to extract the file from the .big folder. I used FM 12 and don't believe I needed to "activate into big folder".

Make sure that you extract to the correct location. Using FM 12, it extracts the exact file path (including all folders) seen when finding the file in the big folder. So if you tell it to extract right to the location where the cmsettings file should be stored, it will create the string of folders starting at that point, so the actual cmsettings file will not be in the correct place for the game to read it.

Also you need to sim forward in your career mode to sometime in Sept I believe before the game "creates the CL draw" and you will see these matches on your calendar. If you start a career mode and skip ahead in viewing the calendar without simming ahead, the matches will not be seen on your calendar.

I think in real life, the CL draw is at the end of August. I remember watching it, but have already forgotten. In the game, it is a little different apparently.

Apologies if you already know these things. Others on this forum are always a great help to me, so I will try to help you to get this going as best I can. :)

i think i found the problem....the regenerator detects fifa 11 instead of fifa 12....even when i set the main game folder this doent change ...how can i fix this?

I noticed that the "board" is listed in the file. Is this how to turn it off? Because I just want to start with one club in the lower leagues and work it up to the higher ones.

Hi, my FIFA 12 was working with the European leagues in the first season ... But I had to format the windows when reinstalled FIFA 12 did the same procedures as described in this forum, but still're not getting the first season in European leagues. I've tried everything, could someone help me?

Why, when I begin game with Chelsea, at me appears Europa League in the first season, but I want to begin game in Champions League... How it to make?

I have the same issue with Chelsea, trying to figure it out. I imagine it's a pretty complex thing to edit as Rinaldo left it out of CM12. It seems for me, the premier league teams chosen to be in the champions league are by starting league placement, alphabetically. Arsenal, Aston Villa, Blackburn and Bolton are in champions league first season (bolton in playoffs 4th spot) and Chelsea in 5th.

-Edit: Actually its by team ID

If anyone has any ideas please assist.
