I'm just wondering how you have your settings to forwards, strikers and centerbacks

do you play your forwards and strikers differently ?

appreciate any help

If my attacking player is more creative than he is a finisher, I allow him more creative freedom, set his closing down higher, and set his mentality less attacking. Basically, my forwards are more active, move around the pitch more, try to create chances. A striker will be fed chances from the whole pitch.

My centre backs are either static or active, depending on their quality, and the mentality of the team. They're always on the most defensive mentality. The defensive line is only a bit left of center, so the gap with midfield (DMC in my case) isn't big at all.

If the team is attacking minded, the DCs will close down earlier, and the DMC will aid in the defense. If my team is defensive, they will be more static, and the DMC will be more creative to help the counters.

I play almost the same as Ruud, one big difference though, I always play defensive, but I never have a creative DMC, bah, I just need a DMC that can mark their forwards or attacking midfielders so they cant get a ball.

Personally I play a stright 4-4-2 but I'm thinking of maybe using Albelda/Baraja as dmc

what do you think ?

btw. I have my wingers running towards AMR and AML and one of my MC's running towards AMC

A tactic isnt complete without a DMC

I've been thinking of a 4-1-3-2 tactic but I don't know since it's going ok and I don't want to ruin it

I play the classic 4-4-2 with wingers (and wing backs) and 4-4-2 diamond again with wingers

A diamond doesn't use wingers, just two central MCs that might or might not choose to use the flanks. Normally in a diamond the full backs go forward on the wings.

says who. I play a daimond that has ml and mr that are going forward to wingers. I play diamond WITH wingers (eat that) lol. Sorry too bored to make a normal post.
