How would YOU like to change the craphicmodels for fifa 2004 ?

Do you make and edit alot of faces, boots, kits, ad boards ect ?
If you do, do you find the model you have to use from EA too complicated and strangely done ?
I surely feel that way when i'm making boots.
A big problem there is that you can't make a good inside of the boot when you made a good outside unless the boot is really really easy to do. Boots like the Adidas Predator Mania and Nike Air Zoom Total 90 II can't be done any good, and this the bootmodles fault.

Do you feel the same way when you make kits or faces ? That the model could be better done...Post it here then with you own suggestion. You can't just say it's bad or whatever !!!
Like my new suggestion for the bootmodel below.

If we keeps pushing this i think we can get what we want for Fifa 2004 !! I mean, this i not a big thing for EA to change, for sure !!
But these models makes so much differences in graphic editing.

We gonna start a union (fist in the air)
Power to the customers !! =)

And if a known person for EA send this to them (for example Matt Holme) i think we have better chanes to get this throw !!

It might be difficult for EA to do so, even that your idea is great, since your texture is more than twice as big as the current one (according to your pic), this means double the memory storage space (no big deal, since there are very few boots anyway), but the most important thing is, loading time will be even more. And for low spec computers, this is definitely an important issue. It can be seen in the EA textures that they try to cramp everything into one texture, so they only need to load up so many pixels, thus it won't waste too much time load areas which are empty.

However, it would be so much nicer, if they used a 3D modelling structure which is easily editable, but then when did EA ever make our lives easier?

Well, it's a cool idea!
Here's my ideal kits format.
The back is inverted vertically, and the sleeves are at the sides of the back and front... so that the Adidas formats would be WAY easier to be made...
Also the shorts are mirrored, half of the right part is for the right back part, and the other half of the left part is for the left back part...
It's hard to understand when you see it, but with the time it gets much easier and fast to make kits... because you divide the work beteween, FRONT + SLEEVES, BACK + SLEEVES, SHORTS and SOCKS....
I love it....

AMAZING IDEAS FROM BOTH CASHLESS AND FEDE!
I always complained about EA present and past boot structure.
This is somehting like a revolution,i am stunned!!!!!!
I also wnat to add some things or propose some similar fixs.
ABOUT BOOTS:
The boot 3d model should not be just 1,there should be many fully editable 3d models.(remember 2002's laces model?CRAP)
there should be extra images for the "tongue" of the boot as well as a bigger image for the studs than that of Cashless example.
i will try to show my ideas as pictures(Very smart thing from cash to do,because all these years complains were made but by posting such a picture the impression is much bigger and better!)
ABOUT KITS:
FEDE's IDEA is amazing,but i can't understand why the back has to be mirrored:)
I believe the competition logos (eg the EPL logo,the UCL logo)
must be like numbers,that means they do not have to be drawn on the texture but they could appear on the kit depending on th match(i think you know what i mean!)

And Fede´s idea is good too, but i think it´s hard to make the back of the shirt, the maker has to turn the picture (if you understand), but it would be cool ! :mrpimp:

Well, I made it morred so that it's easy to make the sleeves get fit with the back lines.
If you see there're two lines, in the back, of different colours that then, get joined with the sleeve... otherwise, if I didn't make it mirrored, then it'd be harder to make lines get fit with the sleeves..

I think it's not as harder as windtaker said... because every kitmaker, can make the back normally, and then flip it vertically... it's no hard... it just take a second, and it's 90% that every line will get fit with the other part in the kit...

Although as Heiks said there's too much of the texture unused, I think that it could serve for NUMBERS... or NAMES... etc... it'd be cool ;)
Or maybe for CRST's... like in the 4GK kits format made by Ariel...
It'd be REALLY cool...

Do you really think it will make such a big diffrence if they change the bootsize twize as big ?
It makes more sense in Fede's case (fifa express til i die =)

I made the first temp with two arms for NHL 2002. The next year EA used the same style :) So if they see this they will prb do some of this :)

I improved it a little bit more.
As you said...Now can any player with an own face have indevidual boots !!
I don't even think this would make the total size of the game bigger (if that's an issue ?)
If you want you can evem imort the hair-file in there ! It would be waaay more easy and smooth to edit for us !

but wouldn't it take a long time for each player to have his own boots cause u have to extract then add in the boots

Not that long I guess. I`m thinking using a raptor to extract it then just put the boot image in it then import.
