ok.....i'll first tell my background. I'm a mid/striker, and i'm quite flashy. I score quite a lot of goals and give in quite a few assists. Recently all the coaches have realized i play well and atleast two def. of each team nowadays have started marking. I try to use first touch but it's no use since one goes and the other comes, So it's basically something like beating the guy marking me but giving it away to the guy behind. Trust me i'm being tightly marked so there nothing i can do. My coach is motivating me and says this shows how well u play. But that's not the point i wanna beat all those ^*&%^* again. Pl. i need help. I've also become a target so all the huge guys come in with all sorts of tackles on me.....

I need help!!

Or just make runs all the time and attract 2 defenders with all the time, that way ur teammates will open up and score. After a while they won't be marking you as tight. :p

Both those tactics suggested should work really well, especially the second one if you can provide good touches for assists and set ups as you said. One thing you might wanna try, and keep in mind youd need to have excellent fitness to do it (i can only do it over like a 20 minute rec league half) is running picks and essentially moving the whole time around your general area: when the ball breaks to you you can use the nearest defenders/players like pylons, and if you suddenly accelerate the defender should be rightly confused, and perhaps, you could slip him.

Just a thought, but, like i said it requires the fitness to keep at least jogging while your in the match and the sudden burst of speed necesscary

try doing give and go's with a teammate, one defender will commit, you pass back, make a run and catch the other defender flat footed and have your teammate send a through ball

Im the youngest in the league so I can relate to being man marked or targeted. I think if your good enough you can play against two, even three men. I think speeds very important, speed with your feet and with your mind, what makes Ronaldinho so good is he knows his next pass before he recieves the ball, and always has two options, so if the pass isnt on he'll more often then not keep the ball.

Nobody can play like Ronaldinho so to do what he does is a lot to ask, but I think once you receive the ball be strong, and move quickly, try and sway the opposition. Or just give it easy.

Good luck

yes i know....that's exactly what happened in the game. 2ppl. on me i cut them both and my teamm8 had lots of space so i gave it off to him and he scored.

Sounds like you are heading in the right direction then...

If you are really fit, you can try to tire the defenders out...

Yeah, if the opposition has two players marking you, they're ruining themselves. Even if you aren't playing as well as you usually would unmarked, your teammates will have more room, so it's actually just a good thing for the team.
To have two people marking one player is just stupid.

i know.......my coach has changed my pos. and now i'm a support striker. Now all i have to do is give in some assists to my teamm8's if i'm being marked tightly.

Also being marked by two ppl. dosen't always open up space as sometimes the oppositions mids come runnin back all the way to mark ppl.

Thanx for the help though. :)
