You "must" have the new exe file in your downloads folder!
The program cannot move it replacing the older automatically.
This could be done only with a stand-alone loader... (as for the adobe pdf reader), too much effort!

Hello everyone!

From yesterday, it's available automatic updating
to version 2.1.2 which is considered preliminary to the next
that, within a couple of weeks at most,
will see the introduction of the new tool, the i68Scripter!

From the contextual menu you can already access a new feature
that allows the installation of the necessary files for editing
the career mode and the manipulation of the competitions data,
operations that will be made possible in parallel with the evolution
of the new tool and the distribution of new (script) templates.
This option is "smart" in the sense that it NOT overwrites
those files that were already present in your "dlc" path,
as installed by somewhere else 'mod' used.

I don't know why, what language are you using?

Delete i68Controller.ini in your documents\i68fifatools path.
Then launch the controller and wait until initialization is completed, without changing the app language.
Then, retry to change it as you prefer.

Let me know.

I have got the exact same error popping up everytime i try to start the tool. I did what you said, and I deleted the i68controller.ini file but it really changed nothing, still the same error message. Oh, and I'm using the newest version 2.1.2 on Windows 10

I really don't understand why I can't replicate your issue on my PC!!
However, I've checked all conversions strings.todate in the GetUpdates routine,
(where the error arises, as shown in your images) and added
a specific error handler.

I have not provided an automatic update, so, please, download the new exe
here and let me know. Thank you!

I don't know.

Last time I spent time to find the initialization issue,
it's came out that the cause is another mod that corrupts files...

I wrote to the author, nothing has changed.
Dozens of people continue to use the patch without even noticing.
Now I must correct my program, which is right,
to prevent someone else invents something and create troubles.

Soon I will released the version 2.1.2 with the scripter.
I'll do a few more tests on initialization procedures, again,
but guys, with the game correctly installed, and much, much of mods,
everything works for me (win 8.1 64b).
In my father's house (windows seven), with the game clean,
everything works.
And on the PC of a friend, with windows 10 and databases
correctly installed, all works like a charm!

Now, I cannot know if in some situations
it may fail, I don't know if some system local settings
could create conflicts, it's possible.
But I'm sure that if you run i68Controller on Fifa16 just installed,
it works perfectly, without database operations.
In order to make it run fully, you have to download and install
the main database and, on windows10 only, local databases
also (provided the links). It's a limit to which I was forced by
the EASF encryption and at the moment I have no solutions.

Finally, when you report a fault, please add some more information:
the text of the log file contains valuable information and,
for certain situations, is also important to understand from
what country you come... because if you run the Controller
under a Chinese version of windows, or Arabic, or Cyrillic,
or do not know what, you may understand that some incompatibilities may pop out!

In theory, we can do almost anything...
in practice, I have a lot of ideas but not much time!!!

Today, while working... I'm thinking to a script to mod
the weather which is incredibly wrong for many countries!
This night (one or two hours... I will try to write code...

The main purpose of the scripter is to give everyone the opportunity
to make their own changes to the database automatically (and elsewhere)
quickly and accurately without having to do it all by hand each time you want
to try to play with a new mod or, let me say, every time Ariel updates his Moddingway!!!

Because each of us thinks with his head...
I want that some things must be set as I say!
I cannot see Chiellini OR 87!
I cannot play two years career in Belgium always in the rain, snow, rain snow and rain again!
I cannot look italian results and discover Juventus always wins the league. Always.
Even if in the market it loses Pogba and Marchisio and it play his matches with Sturaro!!!!

So I write my scripts.
And when Darrek will release his Poland Patch,
I will download it and play a career with it!
And although he never thought of Chiellini, of the Italian Serie A and the climate in Belgium,
I have simply to run my script and play his patch as I like it!
