Nice additions but it wouldn't make me run out and get a PS4 :)

"It has a few extra bits and pieces going on" as said by the Ps3 owner comparison. So Id imagine, and from what I see the gameplay isn't much different from CG but you have extra clothing physics, added 3d grass in paces (could be done on CG but hey) ball boy anims an corner drop anims (could be done on CG buy hey). Updated crowed, well that's always a bonus. And the stadium cut scene externals and lighting updates.

Im sure it would be nice to just have this version for the overall visual polish, but for me it doesn't warrant running out for a console based on game-play it self. It might shine more I think once they adapt it for 15 onwards.

Still good though, im sure it will be great for those that get it & play on a large screen. I wont even get into the bullshit politics of why it wont come to PC and how it will run on systems, but that's a whole different thing.

Nice graphic but little weird on animation, it doesnt like human moving on actual football match. Examples in minutes:
1:53 ???
2:55 Ball out of line
3:00 GK vs CB
etc bla..bla..bla..
Try to compare animations and movement of players this FIFA 14 Ignite (Next gen toys) and current PES 2014 (PC), where both were closer to actual human movement in soccer??
Sorry I'm not in a position to support and promote one games franchise or any developer; I've only seen the best product both of them.

It's pretty clear all they've done is port over the CG game and given it a graphics upgrade with a few new animations. Awesome? No, I'd say it's an incredibly weak effort on EA's part given this is supposed to be groundbreaking NG technology. But it looks like the same damn game we're playing now.

Hahahaha, still the freak animation in the nice kit model, i love the kit animation, a member on FIFA 14 nice in game thread asking "where is FIFA 14 kit its only the body painting", truly the answer is on the Ignite.. LOL

Ignite Engine and FIFA 14 is definitely not the reason I would go for NG console. Ignite is only small improved current engine with minor non-gameplay breaking tweaks.

This. The gameplay looks exactly the same not worth a purchase just for better lucking crowd and cutscenes and the fact you cant mod on console.

Looks exactly the same and one can only hope that forking over the dough for the PS4 and FIFA '14 would grant the purchaser menus that don't take 30 minutes to get through just to make a single change.

I also noticed on the cut scenes some of the "stuck hopping on the spot" animations of linesman/ref and other players not in focus at that moment.

Seems to me what you get with next gen for 14 is all of CG we have now but the extra graphics features. They were boasting about the new level of AI and animation content gone up but I cant see much in the game itself. Long term hands on might tell a different story.

This is why im thinking that Fifa15 may actually be the time EA move from just getting the engine up and running and bringing in new modes and Ai updates focus with the engine toys for next year which may create a significant gap between game-play of CG to NG. I dont see that CG users are missing major gameplay differences this year.

The thing is, that I am looking on all these little details that next gen has that makes it look like it is a game on TV. The thing is of course all this could be made on current gen and on PC they could've made a game with 10x better graphics and 100x more animations, but my heart is bleeding when I see this game almost exactly like I want it and the knowledge that ea as we know them probably waits 3 years and then port an old ignite version for us PC gamers.
Atm I don't know if I want to wait that long. On the one hand I'll miss PC modding. On the other hand I can't spend hundreds of hours playing a game that always reminds me that it is just second class and there is something much better. (For me, not for those just looking on gameplay)

And it is truly not the graphic enhancement. (If there is one) hey honestly I even almost like android fifa 14 more than pc because there are little details better then in PC Version.
Little details can ruin a game for me. That's weird, I know, but it's like that.
You know while some people are excited about real gameplay changes - me as well - (if there would be such) and others about new leagues and tournaments I am so excited when I see ball boys throwing balls, player putting the ball for a corner, real 3D grass and all these stupid little things. That's Le me :-D

Btw is it just me or are the guys in the videos complete noobs :-D their play is so bad^^

I guess I'm too jaded to notice that stuff; all I see is the SAME GAME we've been playing for years now. Is that bad? No. But what disgusts me is EA is their marketing hype... talking as if Ignite and their NG games will be some huge breakthrough in video sports game technology.

People need to realize that you see here is what you're getting with NG. Clearly all EA did was port over CG FIFA to their NG platform. So what we're getting for the next several years isn't a new game at all, it will be CG FIFA running on NG hardware and THAT'S IT. And if that's good enough for you, that's okay by me. But IMO that's complete BS when you consider how they've been marketing Ignite as some great new video gaming experience.

The way players control the ball is still immersion-breaking. And (if there is any) ball physics still suck. Adding crowd doesn't make it good. Players probably see crowd and player faces for %1 of the game time. Gameplay is much more important. I know we shouldn't make decisions just by a video, without playing. But this looks the same shit we've been dealing with for years. And the worst part is PES is trying to imitate FIFA.
In real football, players can not turn like that, can not control it and dribble like that, can not stop instantly, the ball doesn't stop immediately if it gets near a footballer's feet.
It's all about the balance between realism and playability. I know it's an FPS but BF does this good. You feel like it's real and the game just plays well. Because some unrealistic things are "hidden" from the view and play of the gamer.
FIFA must balance this, or just give more control over players, make things more manual, not like shooting power and direction etc. But things like movement, pacing, the foot players want to shoot with... Implementing these mechanics shouldn't be that hard for them because look at how good the Impact Engine is. It's about design I guess not technical "borders."

Lads, i just don't get it!!!?? EA is starting to take us for fools.. just to make it a yearly game they start to make up names to blind us (new ball physics, total control.. bla bla bla) the gameplay just sucks, slow as hell, movements and players animations with the ball are not fluid (look how messi is dancing around in the video when having the ball and doing all but breaking to the goal with his bursting runs at defenders like in real life). i'm not saying that there is no improvement but to pay 60 bucks each year i expect real improvements not just two or four more movements and skills and adding camp nou and some animations. if you are looking for replays and good players animation then get pes 2014 pc in CG but the luck of licenses and real faces makes it boring.. (Bayern vs Italy in allians arena looks so real in daytime and clear weather) if pes 2014 make the effort of getting licenses, make real faces to players or most of the players like fifa and put the daytime HD quality look they made for night and different weather conditions as well, i would switch to pes with my eyes closed. bottom line both FIFA 14 CG+NG and PES 2014 sucks this year because they are not a complete football experience for extra 60 euro if i have already FIFA 13 modded with the last ModdingWay 13/14 mod. Just my modest point of view, Cheers.

Absolutly right. But what do you expect? It's EA^^
What I search for is a mix of Immersion and Gameplay. "Next-Gen" fifa14 is offering this the most.

Never the less it's a joke, because EVERYTHING I mentionened that I like about "NG" fifa14 would be possible on CG fifa14. Everything. I said it in other threads and it is mentioned here as well, what EA probably did is taking their cg and give it a slightly new look and some extra tada. Nothing special.
But isn't this what we see in all our life? There are some stupid phones called Iphone 5, they just add an S to it and sell it as a brandnew phone (you know, S stands for similar :D :D :D) this is by far the best example, and it's the best example for what we allow them to do with us.

Because as I call this one a stupid guy, who has an Iphone 5 and buys an Iphone 5S, EVERY human being should call me an idiot because I want next-gen fifa14 because there are ball boys - but that's how we people are :D

My thought is that FIFA 14 for PS4 is not really "NG", but a transitory game. We can't expect a tottaly revamped game when the console is still giving the 1st steps, and obviously that this will be reflected on the development of the game(s).
Whit that said, I expect a True NG game for FIFA 15-16. Oh and one more thing David Rutter said March last, that they presented FIFA 15 already to they partners.

Coolermaster ... thats what I think exactly.

People complain to CG people "Its 13.2!!" .. well for NG its about 13.7 ... .5 increase for graphics increase :)

Personally if I got NG console it would be for other things, and I would just keep CG for fifa 14 (If I had it already), then next year sell off CG and then invest in 15 on NG.

You could even say that 14 NG is a CG port :)

You realize EA's marketing plan is to keep consumers waiting for next year's version, year after year after year. Have you never played Madden? It's been a decade of "Just wait until next year, that's when we'll see a TRUE next-gen football game." But it never happened.

Bro, it's the language of common sense. How many years of this nonsense does it take before people wake up? Have you heard of snake oil salesmen? In the old west, they would come around once a year and sell bottles of useless liquid to the same suckers who bought the stuff the year before and the year before that.

Perfect analogy for EA and most video game consumers.
