I've been trying to get in touch with people who have worked on previous installments of the patch for older FIFA games, to no avail.

I've been using trial and error to figure out walls, corners, and formations, again, to no avail.

I've tried to contact EA to get some insight on how to make necessary changes, no response.

At this point, i could just keep guessing, or give up. I'd rather not give up, so i'll come back to it every so often and try to get things done, but i can't promise success. FIFA 2005 is a lot different from older installments, so the same editing techniques used back then don't work on this version. Thanks for your patience.
When you contacted EA, did you e-mail them or did you call them by phone?

About trying to get in touch with others that have worked on this kind of project, to no avail, what did you find out?

Well, we are trying again eh?
I highly doubt you'll get anyone that knows those programming things to help. If they were going to they would have finished the patch last year. Btw, if you ever get in contact with EA, God Bless you!

As you may already know, FIFA 2006 is almost out, but may already be out & on store shelves already in some places, I'm rekicking this project off for the new editio of FIFA, because the making of an indoor soccer patch could be makeable there if many who know how to graphically work on that kind of patch can & are more than welcome to do so & record where they are currently on the"FIFA 2006 Indoor Soccer"gaming patch...good luck & also in this thread you may present ideas & thought, hopefully as long as they are positive.

Good job mate, at least everything can be in place now, instead of all over the forum.

To anyone who wants this patch to happen, but is unable to help: please do not have a repeat of this:

I can tell you that i (and hopefully all involved) will work as hard as we can to make this happen, but please remember that this is very hard work that needs to be done, and we're doing it for free, so please be patient. That being said, we will try our best to get it done as quickly and bug-free as possible.

What needs to be figured out
1) SET PIECES!!! Corners are taken from the new corner spot that i created. However, everyone lines up for the set piece as if the goal were back where it would be in a normal sized pitch. In other words, they line up out of bounds and behind the goal. The kick taker always tries to play to one of these players out of bounds and just puts the ball out of play.
Free kicks are a little better. The kicks are actually on the pitch (even in Practice mode), but the wall sets up off the pitch for some reason, as if they place themselves based on distance of the shot (they think "the ball is 25 metres from goal, i'll line up 15 metres from the ORIGINAL goal")
Penalties work well, but there is a different problem which i will discuss in a new point.
My question: How can i tell players to line up on the pitch for set pieces?

2) Camera angles. Camera angles on goal kicks and penalties are strange. Goal Kicks start off alright, but then the camera pulls away as if trying to focus on the old goal, leaving the actual playing field about 30 metres away. It's still visible, but this is annoying.
Penalties are messed up. The camera zooms way in on the goalkeeper, and you can't see the penalty taker. If you take too long to kick the penalty, the camera will gradually try to go through the goal and towards the original goal.
My question: how can i adjust camera angles on goal kicks and penalties?

3) Formation AI. Defenders for some reason are saddened by the smaller pitch. They always stand around the goal line, as if waiting for the right moment to quickly run back to the old penalty area. This leads to many futsal-style breakaways since the defenders are not forward enough to stop crosses close to the goal. Strikers get a lot of space since the defenders prefer to stay near the goal line. They will only come up if the ball comes near them (although i know how to fix this in the ai.ini file). Sometimes the CDs prefer to stand in the goal and pretend to be extra goalkeepers, stopping shots on the line.
My question: how can i edit the formadata kpr files, and how can i adjust formations to play correctly on the smaller pitch?

4) Players on the pitch. The most fundamental of all problems. Futsal is played 5 players per team (sometimes 6, but this is technically not futsal and not recognised by FIFA). It is also played with unlimited substitutions. It looks kinda crowded on the 2/3 scale pitch with all those players running around (although it's not too bad considering the defenders are all waiting to run off the pitch :D )
My question: Is there any way whatsoever to force teams to play short for the duration of the match? If the game terminates matches with fewer than 7 on a team, is there a way to override or reduce this number? If not, i'll accept 7 (or 8) per team.

5) Walls. The ability to set new zones in the pitch is a must (places where the ball is considered "in the goal" or "out of play"). I'd like to know how to designate areas of the pitch to be unpenetrable (so the ball can just bounce off instead of going through), and i'd like to set a smaller goal zone.

If anyone wants to help in any way, it is welcomed. This patch will be free, and everyone's hard work will be credited. Cheers

I just read through the entire thread for the 2004 version of this patch.

A lot of people were very impatient, and it got to the point where people would have been just happy with reduced players on the pitch and a smaller field.

Well, what i have so far is already the reduced pitch size, which work in all existing stadiums. The field lines are drawn, but i don't actually know if it is the correct official size. The penalty area is standard outdoor size, although i didn't actually draw it in.

I invite anyone who worked on last year's effort to help out for this year's. I am certain we will have a patch ready this season.
