Two weeks ago, I was in a game and pulled my muscle. It's the quadircep muscle, the one in the middle... There are three and the smallest one in the middle is the one i pulled. I had the typical symptons of a pull for that muscle... Swelling, Soreness, Bruise, seizing, and after a couple days, a sudden pain when accelarating quickly. After a week, the pain had gone for the most part, and I warmed up really well, and made sure i took it easy.. of course the pain came pack, but i wasn't surprised... now after two weeks, I still feel the pain... How long should i rest it.. it's getting to be a real nuisence... i know it hasn't been long, but it didn't seem like it would take that long... any suggestions? thanks

just take it easy for a week and then warm up well and just jog a bit, there isnt no real length of time because it depends how much you have pulled it

just rest

just take it easy, don't try to get back inot it to quickly, you don't want to end up like woodgate. Potassium which can easily be found in bananas helps a lot with cramping.

Injuries just suck. I once broke my toe playing soccer in my basement and kicking a wall going for the mini-ball a week into the new season and had to sit out for a week and a half. It's really ****ty, but you'll be much better off in the long run if you just sit out for awhile.

pulls or strains are a complete bitch. i currently have one in my calf muscle.

i still plan on playing on it, i hurt it last week during training, doing a bicycle kick of all things, i made contact in mid air with my left foot and my calf just seized. it was really sore during the rest of training as i kept on going. we had a game 2 days later and it was fine. then next training session i sent in a simple cross and strained it again.

its hard to beat these things, you just have to stay off it.....unfortunately i dont even follow my own advice

Someone sat on my left foot and it bended it forward. Today it was my team Championship final, and i played, but during the game there was no pain. But now it just hurts when i bent it forwards. (N) :nape:
