finally watched the full Derby d'Italia ... other than both defences seeming so willing to commit ritual suicide, it was actually a pretty good game ... the first half was Juve's, and only Handanović's heroics prevented a magic move from Pogba putting Juve out of sight; in the second half though, with momentum having well and truly shifted, Inter should have won it ...

Icardi was a ghost for most of the match, before popping up with a superb finish ... had he not spurned more than one golden chance to get all 3 points, a lot of people would have defended his performance based purely on that goal ...

Poldi had a good debut ... Mancini bringing him on for Kuzmanović was the substitution that I was hoping to see, and it nearly worked to perfection ... he should have had an assist when he fed Maurito, and might even have had a goal if M'Vila's clearance late in the game was slightly more accurate ...

speaking of M'Vila, I can't believe Kuzmanović is doing more than him in training ... really wanted him to rediscover his early potential at Inter, but his work rate and attitude don't seem to have improved ...

the Shaqiri deal, if it's to happen, should be decided today ... it'll be interesting to see how Mancio uses him ... a system with Medel behind Kovačić, Hernanes, Poldi, Icardi, and him is exciting and very attacking, but in theory it should technically be workable ...

until the red card ... or because of it? :p

he was excellent as usual, so I left it unstated ... just like with Pogba, who was immense, even without counting that ridiculous elastico ...

Shaq will push Poldi out of the side, that guy is just an incredible player. He doesn't work in a heavily possession based system, but if he's allowed to be direct and lose possession occasionally by taking risks, he'll be a total stud.

I didn't get the Shaq in an Inter shirt reference from the rumors thread until now...

well, Podolski wasn't named in the UEFA Cup squad, and it looks like Mancini is getting the club to focus on Lavezzi (and Yaya Touré, FYI) for the summer ...

being unwanted by even a desperate Inter? wow ... Podolski, like M'Vila, is close to hitting rock bottom ...

well:

- Santon just returned to Inter;
- Balo is floundering in Liverpool, after playing for Milan;
- Mario's former youth team striker partner Destro has pretty much replaced the vacant striker's spot he left at Milan;
- and finally, Bonucci is playing for you guys ...
