hehe... but i'm not playing with germany often, almost never. qualification tournaments are a bit boring, it doesn't feel like a success to qualify with them. mostly i play with central asian, scandinavian teams and sometimes with peru or suriname.

I didn't even know fröya is in norway! i've been 50 kilometres away from that island, and i didn't know it. That's poor!

So being affiliated to fifa is quite useless for east timor. how can they participate in qualifications?

for the unaffiliated teams..- i don't even need a real tournament, but it should be one that seems challenging. like a russian cup. with russia, ex-sovjet countries (ukraine, kazakhstan, belarus, uzbekistan etc) and the unafiliated like komi, dagestan, etc.

or a scandinavian cup (the "royal league", just with national teams), with fröya, greenland, sapmi, aaland... and maybe the shetlands so it would be 10 teams, two groups with 5 teams each.

Sealand is an absolute joke ... what I had read said that they have played games that no one ever actually saw... The NF-Board has such an open door policy that it's really tough to turn teams away so Sealand did get membership there (i think)... i doubt you'll see much from them.

You kind of have to weed out the ones that are SOMEWHAT ligitimate and the ones that really just need to be discarded. The Vatican has a team... but their story is one that should be read directly.

As for Timor-Leste, I still find it bizarre they aren't a part of AFC.......they recently competed in the prelim round of the ASEAN football championship, and ASEAN football confederation is part of AFC, isn't it? And they also do show up on the AFC website....hmm, maybe they are a "provisional member" or something.....

Interesting article, Liio, i'm digesting it too, but I'm posting some of my thoughts on Gibralter where you mentioned it in August's '07 kit thread...

the "play the game" article is more or less what i expected. if you allow non-nations to become member, you have to draw a line that's really vague and intuitive (which is difficult if so strong emotions are involved), and drawing that line means inviting people to have thoughts about fraud. they should have said at an early point that they accept no non-country. we'd be missing some nice teams and wales, scotland etc would have had already their f.a.'s but at least nobody had strange feelings about that.

mean? mine is sometimes lighted green other times it's just grey i don't know what it is.

Those mini pics of the kits on Euro 2008.com are usually outdated.....i've checked several teams on there and am positive many of them are older kits.

However, technically the pic you posted is still Scotland's away kit:

BUT, they will be releasing a new away kit in March, per this:

So it's quite likely that the pic August posted is of the new kit forthcoming. For now, the pale blue away kit has been made, i believe.

I did a netherlands antillies kit... they used a different kit for their third game than either of the other 2... and all of them were blue... it was like a different home kit... Anyway i made one very similar to that... but not exactly.

Caribbean teams that are missing are dominica, turks & caicos and martinique. and i still have to make haiti... (i'm still using a fantasy kit i made a few weeks ago)

oh, and anguilla and the cayman islands, i forgot.

i'd like to make the caymans and dominica but i don't have pictures.

If it is green the person has been active in the last 15 minutes, if not, they havent

my wife's kit kinda got screwed up we merged it down and saved it and couldnt add the logo quite right... i need to try again.

I know they do, I couldn't get them to look any better ... they looked terrible with any kind of curve to them and I got irritated. I havent tested it in game.

I've been buzzing around here looking at all the excellent kits, still playing FIFA, but the forum's activity is going down.
Interesting thing, after 1 year and 1/2 playing, I just did my first bicycle kick last night. I have done a semi-overhead kick before (here) but this was a full out bike, I can do a GIF of it if if you dont know what I'm talking about.
