Education was not for all, nor was public health.

Obviously you can't blame everything on the British, but they did have a great amount of responsibility, they basically played Muslims and Hindus against each other: divide and rule.

I was actually quoting Monty Python's "The Life of Brian." In that case, it was the Jews talking about the Romans. I'm not saying all those things necessarily apply for the Brittons in India, but it's the same basic idea.
