iPod mini & windows 98

Well it seems like microsoft is going to make me upgrade to winxp because I just bought an ipod mini only find out that win98 doesnt support it. Its actually the stupid program itunes that isnt compatible with win98. Why should I pay $200 for a stupid os that I dont need, thats what pisses me of about microsoft. Anyways does anyone with an ipod and running win98 know of way to make fix this.

the ipod is made by the apple mac people, so the software is going to be designed for their os's and they won't particularly want to make software for a rival (microsoft) so they only made it support the latest ones :rolleyes:

No its not that its just Micorosoft trying to get richer by making people(like me) upgrade to their latest OS, hence making new progams not compatible with older versions of windows.

errr.... no. Windows 98 came out 6 years ago. iPod mini hasn't even been out for 6 months.

Its Apple who are at fault for not providing support for older Operating systems.

Everything Microsoft have made so far has been backwards compatiable with Windows 98.

Its easy to keep blaming Microsoft every time but this time around, its definitely not their fault.

Just get a cracked version of Win XP, I think this is not your fault so in this case pirated OS is OK to use:p

get a creative one instead, they used to be called Nomads but now they've changed name, they're excellent.

Or a CD mp3 player is another option....

I was thinking of getting a Creative one but they don't look half as good as the iPods, unless they've changed their designs.

its beastly and bulky - runs on an internal harddrive as opposed to the flash memory the Ipod mini runs on (which makes it soo much lighter)
