Italian Inquiries

1. The fact that Roberto Baggio was not included in the Euro 2000, WC 2002, and even the Euro 2004 squads is an embarrasment. (maybe Baggio was injured in 2000, i forget). And it even goes back to 98. I just watched a tape of the quarterfinal vs. France. Starting Del Piero over Baggio was ridiculous ( Cesare Maldini should have known better). Del Piero choked horribly during that whole tournament. Baggio was great when he came on in 60th or so minute, and produced all of italy's chances. Its easier to say this now maybe, seeing as how Italy have had some pretty poor showings in the last 6-8 years ( minus Euro 2000, where btw Del Piero choked in the final). But it still bothers me to this day. Because i know that Baggio would been magical in 2000, 2002 and 2004. And Italy is making the same mistake again by bringing Vieri back into the lineup. I dont care if he scores 100 tap in goals for Inter, he cant do **** on the international stage anymore. Build the team around Gilardino and Cassano.

2. I get one Italian game per week here on tv from Rai. Why is the quality so bad? It seems like its always foggy in Italy. I turn to the english premier league and the fields are green, the skies are clear. It seems like the Serie A is being played in the jungle somewhere. ???

I understand what ur going threw and i also understand that Roberto Baggio was insane and so skillful. and yes he should of been in the 98 squad starting over Del Piero. IMO it will always be like this for me

Baggio (he was class) then Del Piero

Hell Baggio could still be useful to our NT.

He misses 1 PK and isn't included in any of the teams, yet DP who NEVER performs for the NT is still being called up

it's ridiculous but **** happens and there's nothing me, u, or anybody can do about it right now

and about your 2nd point, a lot of the smoke u see on tv is flares as well as fog

Same here. The quality is crap and the atmosphere is the total opposite of the EPL.

Exactly.

and whoever said the atmoshere of the Serie A is much worse than EPL, its simple. The EPL has the best tv coverage, while the serie A stuff we get (In Italy Sky is very good) is very bad. Watch an Italian team play in CL (when its ESPN coverage) and youll notice it has everything to do with the poor presentation and not with the lack of atmosphere.

Though admittingly the crowds in Italy arent what they should be, but thats another story.

Epl is a bunch of Purtain/Prude people that sit down and sing songs during matches, and crappy atmosphere watch a Palermo game and tell me if u see many empty seats Or a match of a Southern Italian team.

I've been saying that since day one... that's the major factor in the whole "boring Serie A" thing

When i try to see highlights of games or wtv, it says my IP address isnt in Italian territory, meaning i have to live in Italy to view the content of the videos.
