So, my iTunes simply doesn't open. It was working perfectly for about a year and a half, I updated it, I used it, it was a love story with a happy ending. Or was it? Without any kind of reasonable explanation, it just won't open anymore. I tried the basics - re-installation, remotion and re-download-and-installation...Still nothing. It won't open when I press the desktop icon, the start-up menu icon, the MyDocuments .exe file, when I try to "open with" a song... Nothing.

Alex? :(

You don't even get my sympathy. Apple? Itunes? Shame on you.

one thing you can try is start win in safe mode and see if it at least starts then. If it does there must be some confilict with some other app on your system when you start normaly, so you'll have to start removing unwanted apps and services that run on your system one by one
ps wait for some apple crazed user, they know their stuff

Hehe I don't really have those fascist thoughts about neither Apple or Microsoft.. iTunes is easy to use and my sisters like it.. Well, easy to use when it's not ******* my head up because it won't open.. I'll try what you said and wait to see if someone else has ideas, cheers

Haha, Steve ******* Jobs himself if I have to... Problem is he'll only tell me "well with a Mac you wouldn't have that problem." :(

Like it or not the Ipod is by far the best mp3 player on the market at just about every level and it isn't compatible with anything other than Itunes.

I have an ipod. And everything else but the sound quality i agree. I've had Creative and iRivers in the past with far superior sound quality.
