By jogging i mean, the slow run you see when soccer players practice.

so.....the thing is that, when i'm jogging a pain comes to the left of my stomach...sometimes on the right too; this usually happens after some minutes of been jogging(like 20 minutes)......

is there any way to avoid this?

Another thing to know here, is that i have been inactive(without joggin) for like two years.
Could this be the cause of the pain?

any help i will apretiate it...thanks.......

You just answered your own question.

It could also be because you ate too late. When you eat just before you're going to do a sport, you'll have pain in your stomach.

in norway we've always told that if that kind of pain comes in our stomach, grab a cold stone and grab i hard while running...it's supposed to help...

edit:
yeah, and take DEEP beraths all the way down to your belly while rinning, that DO help, at least for me

If that's an organ which causes the pain when u do exercise after u eat, thats probably the appendix. And thats the appendicitis and u have to have an operation to remove your appendix. (appendectomy) All these are my common sense...maybe they're not correct. :p

But i think your problem is not due to the appendix...not that serious. Sometimes i feel that pain too if i drink too much water and run.

Yup....but that normally only happens when i go flatout. Hehe i guess arah is right, maybe its due to all the inactivity

Just don't drink too much before you jog. I never drink an hour or so before jogging, maybe a couple sips at most.

I can only think it's stitch (cramp) and it means you're breathing is off rhythm and you're lacking water... try to drink more, keep your chest up (meaning don't lean to forward when you jog) and breathe in a nice rhythm....

its just a cramp man, don't over exert yourself or you will get cramps.

just listen to what the other members have posted, but it's nothing serious, your just out of shape

Before jogging, run a few laps, then start your jogging excercises. This will speed up your heart rate.
