I was wondering if you kept to the 'less than 30 players per team' rule so career wont crash from season to season? I was looking over them quickly and noticed that a few teams had more than enough players (Fulham comes to mind), which seems to be because players were signed others were injured, except FIFA doesnt account for inactivity of players for whatever reason.

Great update though, I'm surely going to use it regardless of tha answer, just wondering if I have to go back and make sure all teams have less than 30 players so I can start my career.

In that case then maybe its not worth it.

If they are over 30 then how do you make sure they are less ?
I really want this to work but I want to avoid making errors that might force me to have to reinstall the game or something of the sort

it's OK mate...Yes make a cmp file for Eredivisie...I have worked with the site Voetbal International and the club's sites..It's not always easy to find the real position of the players...And I did not pay too much attention to the players who were already in the database...
I will include some of your changes in my next work

the max. limit is 30 players per team...More than 30 make the game crash...
I don't play manager mode so I dit not know that less than 30 rule...I don't know if it's true either
But only a few team have 30 players ( fulham, west ham , sunderland I think ) and it's very easy to reduce the numbers of player...You just have to send one to the free agent section with CM 08

and Coca Cola championship update is 95% ready

Ok... I loaded the update and it looks really great. The thing is I tried loading my career and the game crashed. Anybody else had such problems ?

I wouldn't mind starting a career since I've just played one season but I need to be sure that the game wont crash when i move into another season

The strangest thing happened. I don't know if its meant to be but I installed the update and started going through all teams to see what had changed.. Boom! all teams have 4-4-2 as their formation. In teams such as Bolton, Nolan is employed via LM and M.Taylor is RS where as in Chelsea, J.Cole is via RS and Lampard is at LM, e.t.c..

Are these the changes that were made ? Is it the same for everyone ? I hope not because I don't want to have to go through editing each and every team's formation. I had already done most of the formations for the EPL at least and most of the primary transfers myself...

go to team management > reset my squad > original squad.

..Boom! then the formation will get back to the original

The update only modifies the fifa Db folder ( in data/cmn )
To avoid conflicts don't make anychanges with the in game editor and ( or )eventually delete your fifa folder in " my documents"
If you want to make your own modifications use CM 08
and of course you have to restart a new career with the new rosters

I found the missing players with their id's in the fifa 07 database...
EA always leave the faces in the z-datas even when the players are not in the game...Today as I was finishing the Coca Cola championship, I found JJ Okocha and could transfer him back to Hull

Glad to hear that mate I have made this year also a small roster update and I've just imported some players of it. Here I've got a very good site, which u can use for the selections and information:

I don't know if u understands the language but you have to click on the right on "selectie" and then u will find the full rosters of each team and all jersey numbers. (here an example: http://sport.upclive.nl/players.aspx?c=2&t=2)
U can find also some player information and u can see how many games they have played (u can use it for the average skills). If u want to go to another team, just click on the logo and click on "selectie" on the right corner. There are more leagues then the eredivisie like the premier league:

Maybe you should ask this in the CM thread...
cmp patch are easy to create for new teams but to update the original database with it ,seems rather complicated ...There are so many ways to make mistakes...
Maybe you should think the other way around...make a cmp with your changes and apply to the new rosters ( in case you made a lot of changes...if not do it manually )

It´s easy.
Open the roster db with CM. Go to the patch->create and select all the leagues that have been updated. Make sure you only select database player info in players table and linked players in table teams.

I have done tihs lots of times even for importing rosters from fifa08 into fifa07 and it works fine.

PS: when importing into your db pay attention if there some important players that are set to "create" instead of "replace". If so, just change that with cm.

this will happen, specially because you are essentially creating a zip file with a ton of information. My suggestion would be to run it over night, or have it start when you don't need to use your computer for about an hour. Take a shower, go for a run, things like that. It isn't an instantaneous process.
