94M for Gonzalo Higuain. Now I realize how cheap Suarez was 2 years ago.

Its not just that but its Dani Alves, Pjanic and Pjaca along with Higuain with just Pogba going out. Possibly more incoming in midfield. That's probably the strongest Juve squad in ages.

Pjanic in and Pogba out with Pjanic for just a fraction of Pogba's price is fantastic piece of business for Juventus. Man U could have had 3 Pjanics for Pogba's price. Juventus is the winner in this deal and Man U the losers as usual. I think Pjaca + Pjanic make Juventus better than Pogba and their cost combined is still less than Pogba.

I'm convinced Bayern would sell Lewandowski for that price. In terms of #9s, you could probably get literally any one you wanted for that kind of money, so why the fuck would Juventus pay up for Higuain.

Benatia, Pjaca, Pjanic, Alves and Higuain... Sick roster, one of the best ever in Juventus history. The best one in Europe after Barça and Madrid, i think even better than Bayern's.

It is absolutely not better than Bayern's.

Neuer > Buffon
Alaba > Sandro
Lahm > Alves
Boateng/Hummels/Martinez = Bonucci/Chiellini/Benatia (I actually think Bayern's is better, but giving the benefit of the doubt)

Vidal > Marchisio
Thiago = Pjanic
Sanches/Kimmich/Alonso < Khedira (but Sami has to be healthy)

Robben/Coman > ???? Pereyra?
Costa/Ribery > ??? Mandzukic? Zaza?
Muller > Dybala
Lewandowski > Higuain

Bayern's bench is better too with Bernat, Kimmich, and several of the guys I mentioned above. Carlo is a LOT better manager too.

Not even close. Juventus was #5 in the world before this transfer. Now they are tied for #4 with Atletico... maybe.

Higuain for that much money? Crazy. I always liked Higuain even though he is the reason Messi is not the best player in the world. I always found Higuain better than Benzema at Real Madrid.

Surely Juventus have no choice but sell Pogba now.

Some reports now Juve don't need to sell Pogba to fund Higuain and they rejected Man Utd's offer of 120M. Higuain would rather be funded by the potential sales of Zaza, Pereyra, Lemina, Rugani and/or Sturaro. Damn.

They'd be nuts not to sell Pogba. It's no secret he wants to go to real so I doubt he'll ever sign another juve contract and this kind of money is insane. Players/agents will need to get more savvy with their contracts now that we are in an environment where very many clubs have absolutely no need to sell even at any price - effectively every club becoming a Bilbao

It will be stupid not to sell Pogba now with the midfielders they bought. Pjanic can provide a lot of what Pogba can offer at 1/3 of the price. Will they be getting that much money for Pogba if they let it go this season?

Pogba has also already "agreed personal terms" with Man U too. Why keep him when he clearly has his mind elsewhere?

Some say Pogba is waiting for Real Madrid. Raiola is trying to convince him to join Man Utd, but Juve also wants Man Utd to pay Raiola's cut of the deal, around 20 million, which is taking time. Tiresome to read all the stories.

I agree with Sir_Didier_Drogba, it's better to sell now and move on, unless he genuinely wants to stay.

I'd keep Pogba, but I'd want him to sign another contract. If they don't need to sell they should give him a massive deal.

If they don't need the money, there is no reason to sell your best player, I don't care if it's for $1bn. If he won't re-up his contract, then obviously that's a different situation, but if I'm Juventus I'm at least feeling him out on the situation.

Hmmm but he is not really Juve's best player now is he? One of them, yeah. Dybala looks more like the GOAT. He is the most marketable and hyped one. Which is one of the "reasons" Man Utd are willing to pay that amount.

He's definitely their best player. If they were confident about Dybala they wouldn't be shelling out 100m for Higuain.

He is more of a shadow striker.

I agree, if anything they provided a star in the making with a star accomplice. I'm curious to see how it pants out and how Mandzukic will fit in. Juve play with two strikers for a long long time now, it's not surprising they chose to spend it in attack with Morata gone.

Never forget. Loan with option to buy.

Sure it would definitely be worth considering keeping Pogba IF he really wanted to stay at the club and was willing to commit to a bumper and super long new contract but all indications I have heard is that this is not the case - he wants to be a galactico, he wants to go to Real Madrid, he doesn't want to go to man Utd and I think he would certainly be willing to stay at juventus this summer even if it meant losing out on some money from United BUT he will always be eying that Madrid move, so he won't be signing any contracts which lock him down for the rest of his career and his sale value will decline year on year and he doesn't extend and as it becomes clearer that he is holding out for Real who will never pay this kind of money for him. I know he's a big loss but we're taking about £100m, this kind of offer won't come along again, and you'd be mad not to take it

Wrt Higuain, really top class number 9s are now so rare in the world that there are not even enough for every elite club to have one, therefore the alternative is what juve were doing last season and seasons before which is to have an arsenal of three very very good strikers with different skill sets and use them accordingly, not in a pecking order with a 'first choice, second choice, third choice' but in a tactical/selective rotation whereby the right man or men are used for the right game and adjustments are made mid game with substitutions if necessary. Higuain would be a perfect addition to this arsenal alongside Mandzukic and Dybala, but £75m is a lot, actually it's too much, to pay for just one member of a three man unit. If I was them I would be looking at Lukaku or Diego Costa or Milik or whatever who should be available for cheaper.

I also hope this approach to a strike force is the one Chelsea will adopt
