Areet, after my Dad ended up deleting my class , hard-worked, time-consuming, loved Northampton save game, (the fecking eediat :() I've decided to start a new game, but this time to a new expierience for me, the wonders of non-league football :amika:

Anyway I choose my local team, Kettering Town. Started off with 75k in the red and no transfer budget availible...great. After about 50 free transfer/loan offers rejected, I managed 1 loan signing before the start of the season :| As my about a grand under the wage budget i've some how managed to get the finicial balance back into positives, but the board still refuse to give me any bloody money for players.

So first game of the season, start with a succesfull 4-4-2 I have used in previous games. Played first 5 games of the season, won 4, drew 1, not bad i'd say, sitting 2nd just behind Stafford.

One player thats really impressed is Oswaldo Lopes, shows real flair in a division where the football is basically just.... sh*te to be honest :ewan:

So anyone played with a non-league team before? Any expieriences you'd like to share? Or many some hints/tips on how to do well in this league? :jambo:

Anyway i once took over cambridge city in the conference south! (H) I wasn't doing too badly, got upto about 8th, but then the following season my team just plain sucked and i got bored :$

I played with a 'H' team which I can't remember. In the Conference North. Signed a few players with the limited budget. I quit after 4 months because it was impossible to win.

Man, I don't think I'm brave enough to go that low. I suppose it is only one level below where I started with Aldershot, but still...

Good luck with this team, I'm sure you'll need it.

Live around 5 minutes away from Raunds, live in the town of wellingborough, ever been there?

[Edit] - went off topic (my own topic even :|) and forget to mention how my games going, played 10 now, won 8 lost 2, point behind Stafford who are 1st. I've managed to qualify for the first round of the FA cup :D Drawn against team in a lower league than me (aylsebury?) so might get abit of money from the cup.

Brought in 4 loan signings, Thomson whose a pacey striker, Vinjay Singh (i think his name is) decent attacker, Another who i can't remember the name of :$ but has some nice technical stats, and finally a finish centre mid for back up.

So things arn't looking to bad, at the end of the season i'll get some screenshots up, as i'm playing the game on ma laptop. :ewan:

Yes I have many times, get my haircut in kettering when I go there, go to the wellingborough train station as well. My brother lives in bedford too. Quality (H)

Right....21 games into season..1st with a game in hand. McDougald has scored 18 :D And new signing Lawrie Dudfield scores 6 in 5. Qualifyed and into 2nd round of FA Trophy after mullering Nigel Cloughs Burton Albion 4-1. Managed to reach 3rd round of FA Cup (after drawing two non-league side in 1st/2nd round) and was drawn Man Utd away :lui:
Lost 3-1 but gained about 500k from their attendace. All I can say is Premiership here i come baby (H)

i'm actually thinkin about startin a season of that kind, since i'm gettin bored of playing with big teams...probably with a portuguese team...i got to figure out which one, though..don't want to be stuck in 3rd division for ever..

Well, I'm about to start one little LLM in England, maybe with my favourites from FM05, Basingstoke, maybe with Lewes because of Sigere, but well, I hadn't decided yet what to chose, but I decided what to not chose, the LLM Monsters Weymouth, who in all games I know reached League Two in two years :|

Well, I'm waiting here for more of your reports to see, a pity you get drafted with Man Utd, but well, it's not that difficult to draw them, just remember Exeter IRL (H) :crazyboy:
