As a matter of fact I did try to run kitserver without any content in GDB folder whatsoever, and it still chokes at the very beginning.
And the 6.3.5 is not working either.
Oh well, maybe my windows installation has just got a bit rotten over the couple of years it's been running and there's some errors/incompatibilities that won't allowe kitserver to run properly. I don't plan to reinstall it though.
It just not ment to be I guess. Anyways, thanks for help.

How do you run the game - windowed or fullscreen? Looks like the crash occurs when Direct3D's Reset method gets called. Try disabling "dxtools.dll" in kload.cfg.

Another possiblity:
do you use Xfire? If so, there could be a conflict between Xfire and kitserver (people on Evo-Web reported that). Try running with Xfire disabled and see if that works.

I usually run the game windowed, but I also tried it in fullscreen, as well as changing resolutions, details and so on and so forth.
As for disabling "dxtools.dll" in kload.cfg, does that mean changing the DLL.6 = "kitserver\dxtools.dll" entry to something like @DLL.6 = "kitserver\dxtools.dll" to make it inactive, deleting the line completely or some other action?
And no, I don't use Xfire.

Version 6.3.6 released. Download links - in the first post.
Mainly bug-fix release. Here's what's new:

- kserv: added safety checks on texture size and automatic resampling in case
when the videocard doesn't support texture of the same dimensions as the kit image.
- kserv: new flag in kserv.cfg: to enable/disable HD-kits
- kserv: another small change to hopefully eliminate "wrong-kit" bug.
- kserv: added support for "description" attribute in config.txt; labels during
kit selection now only show the text from that attribute.
- lodmixer: fixed the substitutions feature, which wasn't working.

Also includes these changes by Robbie (released with Evolution Patch - as v6.3.5):
- more memory reserved, fixes some crashes with HD adboards
- faceserver: fixed a problem when editing a player's look
- faceserver: small bugfix when editing the kit in ML
- faceserver: disabled during museum replays

juce, im having probs when playing only with hamburger fc. the game crashes constantly in the uniform selection screeen. I`ve already deleted its stadium and uniforms folder and deleted the team on the mapping documents, but still get this crash.... any idea? thanks and congrats

You might have installed a face for that team improperly. Like putting the players hair in faceserver and face in hairserver. Happened to me once

try downloading it again maybe the download was corrupted. Make sure kitserver is installed in setup for that version.

Hello to everyone, this is my first post in this forum. First of all, I'm italian, so excuse me for my english, then, I have the kitserver 6.3.6 of the great Juce, but I have a problem. When I go to the musuem, to see my saved goals, pes, crashes to windows, with every goal. Why? How can I resolve this? When I remove kitserver, it's all ok, but when it is installed? Thanks to everyone, and a question for Juce. Your tools are fabolous, but for bootserver? how time we have to wait more or less? Thanks and bye bye

If you get a problem with screen flashing during kit selection, and no min-kits appearing or no kits in the match, get this update: kserv.dll 6.3.6.1

After I installed the new kitserver version(6.3.6) I can't see some of the team's 3rd or 4th kits in the kit selection screen anymore... Do I need to change something?

(i took out the labels in 6.3.6, so if you don't have anything in "description" attribute, no text will be shown)

kitserver 6 HELP!!!!!!!!

can someone please help me to install this kitserver??? the kitserver 5 was pinuts to install but this one I can't understand. I installed it as the menu says, but all the teams appear with Czech & England kits.....please can someone guide me how to install this server????

The only team I've seen that doesn't show the 3rd or 4th kits so far is Besiktas(Boshporus)...Where is the "description" attribute?

"description" attribute is in config.txt. For easy creation, get the latest GDB Manager - it supports it.
