please help solve this problem

i have a really weird problem on my pes. i used the latest kitserver to try and force high settings on my system, which uses 9600pro btw. however, my screen just blanks out and theres no graphic at all in the same. i can however hear the background sound so i can sense the game is actually running. whenever, i change the settings back down to medium, the game works normally and smoothly. is there anyway around this problem?

this is my config.txt in kitserver. i have a 15" lcd and am running at 1024*768 at 4:3.

but i messed around with high settings in system tray ie turned up aliasing 16x etc and got it to work on high settings wid all boxes checked...skip frameetc

i tried turning on aa to max and tried fiddling around but still the same result. do u use kitserver? can u post the exact settings of ur ati settings as well as kitserver settings if u do use it?

its working perfectly well on medium settings but the black screen only appears on high settings. zzz.

cant remember if i used a force resolution setting or not
i got it to work after messing wid kit server

good luck

though frames are 15 to 30 max [i need the eye candy]
i turn all on low and i get ugly game at smooth 30 fps
i rather have pretty game without steady fps

buying a quad core and oc 7950 card plus4 meg ram
so should be ok christmas

I just installed 1.20 patch and i guess Lod Switch 1/2 in Custom Lod Configuration in Lod Mixer doesn't work. I use 0.005 for lod switches and i'm sure that graphics were better in 1.10.

I hope you can fix that juce...

I hope you can fix that juce...

you need to re-run Kitserver's setup.exe after you installed 1.20 patch. The patch effectively replaces your main exe file (PES2008.exe) with a brand new one, so Kitserver needs to re-attach to it. Run setup.exe, click "Install", and everything should work fine again.

actually, i'm wrong.
It is true indeed that Lod Switch 1/2 does NOT work correctly with 1.20 patch. This problem will be fixed in 7.0.5 release.

This also happended to me when I used the no-dvd exe.

And, Juce, another thing that happens to me is that when I use kitserver there are no special effect sounds in the game (ball, whistle, etc.)

i think the problem is one of 1.2 nodvd exe created by vitality is a complete rewrite of the exe without the protection included, the 1.2 nodvd exe created by battery is a replica of the 1.2 protected exe with emulation embedded

if you are using the 30mb or so 1.2 exe - its the battery one and works with the latest kitserver

if you tried using the smaller 1.2 exe made by vitality, kitserver doesn't recognize it and the game won't run

for now if you want it to work, make sure you are using the correct exe by the appropriate release group

any chance kitserver will be able to recognize both... i think the vitality nodvd is much faster and could potentially help game lag for people as the executable is much smaller and less bloated with protection coding

I've just tried it and kitserver doesn't work with Vitality's No Dvd exe.
