That would life a lot easier.

And by the way, excellent job on the kitserver. Its easily the most eagerly anticipated tool since Pro came out!

It is possible. Actually, i think it's relatively simple to implement. (Too bad, socks are not visible at strip selection screen, but that can be fixed too)
how is it possible?
can you move separate bits of the bmps into the game?

Yep, it's not necessary to replace the whole bitmap - parts can be left as is and other parts can be changed. (assuming that shorts location in the texture BMP is always the same. Otherwise, if it differs for diff. model, then it can be a bit complicated.)

One way to do is this:
Say, you're at the strip selection screen, and you're selecting the kit for home team. You have already loaded 3rd-kits or decided to use the 2 default ones - doesn't matter. So, now there are 2 kits in memory. We can have another hot-key which will trigger the "shuffle" of uniform parts, meaning that shirt can be taken from 1st strip, shorts - from 2nd, socks from 1st, etc. All combinations from two kits.

Alternatively, kitserver could just load individual parts from BMP files - we'd have to have a hot-key for each loadable part - shirt, shorts, socks... That may mean more "bookkeeping" effort for kitserver though.

There are only 9 boots...:(

always thought you only needed a pair to play... ;)

I'll try, but this will have to wait until after the extra balls feature.

Overall, this is a very good idea. If anybody wants to do it, please go ahead - i certainly don't mind. The attrib.cfg file format is pretty straight-forward, and KDB file structure is simple.

Eventually, i think such a tool will be done. If nobody else writes it, i'll make it sometime during "long winter nights".

Glad you like the idea. I just found Ariel's "Kit Assistant" for the original. Something just like that would be just what we need. I hope you can convince him to make one that can create the attrib.cfg files. I've added most of my own favourite 3rd kits, but I'm just too lazy to do all the colours.

I know this has almost certainly been asked before, but where can I get the latest England kit (ideally in .bin format)? Thanks.

Version 4.2.1 (with "Alt-Tab bug" fixed) is now available. I've updated the download links in the first post of this thread.

(if you have 4.2.0, you only need a new kserv.dll. A download link for it can be found a few posts above)

Spark,

can you please update your site to provide the new zip (kitserver-421.zip)? I just want to keep track of bugs and version numbers.
thanks.

Thanks to the kind soul who figured out the kit encryption thing awhile back, I've now got all my kits inserted into the AFS file.

Seems to me that I could probably just have the gx and px folders in kitserver\KDB\uni\xxx and not have any texga/texgb/texpa/texpb files, right? That way it will use my default kits (which are accurate) and in addition to those let me use alternate player/keeper kits?

Great work on the tool. :)

Is there a site where all the latest kits can be downloaded from? There are alot scattered around, but is there a site anywhere?
