this is why you only download the game and not buy it. Its garbage. No improvements, AI is actually stupider now.
i didnt even played the full game, just the demo, and that was enough for me to see that it was crap! its very easy feint, and when you have players like kaka ist even easier, just runing with ball you will pass for 3 players with no trouble...its very similiar to fifa07!!!and there are a lot of bugs as we see on youtube, thats very crap work.
Ah why we dont have anymore the option to put the shirt over the shorts?!?!!?!?in really life a lot of players use shirts like this!!ronaldo,quaresma,mantorras,ronaldinho gaucho,eto,messi,tevez,nani,aguero,cardozo,simao,robinho,drogba,fernando torres,figo,ibrahimovic,kaka,riquelme,ballack, the majoritie of them start the game with the shirt of the shorts, and they all are internacional famous players!!

when i started the game i said "well its a new game, i got to get used to it" now that i play more and more is even more iritating. especially when you play irl football.
1. passes are so slow, game is not fluent...the player receiving the ball must return to get the X passes.
2. when you through pass,receiving player even using the supercancel wont change his direction. its scripted to go simply straight the stupid one...
3.i m not talking about stupid keepers....
4.defenders:no comments
5.many more....i'm so frustrated,,,
6.pes have become a copy of old style fifa

Im glad im reading this...have PES 2006 and love it...bought Fifa 2008 therafter...went back to PES2006 after playing fifa about 3 times...(and ive been a fifa fan forever until pes2006)
So im playing my PES2006 and will probably not buy PES2008...esp if its like fifa....which is way way too fast and unrealistic...esp in the camera angles...

PES2008 is a huge disappointment, PES2009 needs to be drastically improved, and Seabass really needs to kick the PS2 version out of his team's plans.

Man,why is this series going backward?Why so much unnecessary refinements to an already outstanding gameplay and made awful?What KONAMI should be concentrating on is more options,more features,more licenses,less lag online play,updated roster,and downloadable contents to warrant my purchase,not tweaking with the gameplay that makes it horrible.I guess I'll pass on this one this year and since this is the only option,I'll have to do without a soccer game.
Call me whatever you want, but i actually quite like the game 
Different people are looking for different things from the game and i, personally, don't have the time nor the patience to play an ultra-realistic game "simulation". I play with 10-15minute games, and if the game was at completely real-time temp i don't think i'd ever score. Obviously the game is going to have to be slightly faster than real life because most people don't have the time or patience to play full 90min games.
To be honest, i find it pretty funny that it seems people have registered on SG purely to slate the game. It's also pretty hilarious how such an uproar can be made of such a tiny detail like whether you can choose if a player's shirt is tucked or untucked. Ok, it would've been nice but it hardly ruins the game. I noticed that Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't seem to smile as much as he did in previous PES versions... should i start a petition?
I understand all your opinions that you don't like the game etc. but can i ask just one thing - if you don't like the game fair enough, state your opinion that you don't like the game, but there is no need to keep repeating your opinion and trying to preach it to other people. Let them make their own judgements. Please, if you don't like the game then don't post in here.

Well said!....its just a video game, just pick one a play it...no game will be realistic thats why its called "game"

Don't get me wrong, I've played and patch the game since the demo from Europe came out. I don't like the game since it seems to be a prototype version. If you edit the game then you will know why, otherwise it's an ok game, with nice graphic, matter of fact very nice graphic, better than fifa08 on pc (surprise!). You can't edit (using in game editor) as much as you used to be able to with previous version. The modes of the game aren't all the great or new compare to previous one. I do find funny people complain about the game and pick the problem not being able to have the kit untuck as an example (??). The animation isn't very smooth, you feel like the players slide on the pitch and stiff if you watch them run with the ball alone.

so glad i didnt buy it....very happy with Pes 2006 and still playing it almost every day these days....and even then i discover new animations...
And the better me and my friends get at the game, the better the game becomes...Its like one playes more realistic professional football cause you know what works and what doesnt....and its as if pes2006 captured that...

Wll im now playing the xbox 360 edition cause of ridiculous PC requirements for PES 2008. The gamespeed on my cpu monitor is a bit too fast on tv screen its ok.
