I agree....if I'd seen it during my high school years, it would've taken on a different meaning. Anyways, quite an addictive movie....

I am Lenged - 7/10. After all that was said i honestly thought it was gonna be a great film... nothing special really.

Fracture - 7.5/10. Good i guess. Ending was a bit dissapointing.

and thats about everything I've seen in the last month :(

^^just a moderately decent, run-of-the-mill teen flick to you, bro? I suppose that you would've been a bit more enthused and aweed by it if you'd seen it in your formative mid-teen years? It's arguably my favorite movie of all time, bro. You know how some folks outrageously exaggerate how many times they've seen a favorite movie of theirs? Well I've literally watched this movie from beginning to end two dozen times since back in '99 when I was just starting high school. It was a consensus favorite among my friends and I and we'd watch it repeatedly all through out high school, man.

Anyway, this post of yours has inspired me to watch it again since I haven't checked it out in about a year when I last came across it mid way through on Bravo at around 2 in the morning.

If I ever begin to refer to these as the "best years of my life", remind me to kill myself.

totally agree. I actually saw that post of newbie original last night and immediately put the DVD on and watched it. total classic (Y)(Y)(Y)

Redacted.

Very interesting the narrative techniques in this one. A little too inadvertently preachy at times, but still a good watch.

The Great Debaters - I wasn't expecting much other than some bull**** chatting but it was quite interesting and entertaining. There wasn't a moment were I thought that this was boring or getting boring. It had its pace throughout the movie. Again, Washington is great actor and a director too!

Fear & Loathing

God, I love this movie. There's not a single boring scene it seems, and Depp and Del Toro are brilliant actors. (Y)

Sex and Breakfast

For about 20 mins, then fast skipped most of the parts and reached the unrewarding, crap for whoever watched that whole movie, slowly reached meaningless ending.
Unfortunately lost ~30-40 mins of my life when I could have just spent that time chatting on msn about.. err.. random crap with some other, bored as well, contact. Horrible.

Loved it! Spot on performances from every member of the cast.

Yeah same, saw an advanced preview screening of it the other week for free. (good old Orange) Great film & performances, made even better by the fact that I didn't pay a penny to see it :D
