Pretty cool. I prefer the LotR trilogy but like this one a lot too, too bad there won't be any more.

you underestimate the capitalistic/opportunistic ideals of the New Line + Carlos*son + Walsh + Boyens team, and their willingness to turn "The Adventures of Tom Bombadil" into the next canonical fan fiction (yup, oxymoronic) trilogy set in Middle Earth ...

Right everything and everyone always does everything for the worst reasons and blabla.

Anyway with the resurgeance of TV series, it would be awesome to see a Silmarillion show, but the Tolkien family aren't giving up the rights apparently.

No way. Tom Bombadil was the absolute worst part of the LOTR trilogy. They cut him completely out of the first movie for a reason.

Was The Interview actually decent? I heard it was really bad.

I went to see Foxcatcher, had it's moments, and the ending was a genuine surprise, and Carrel was magnificent, but overall it was full of cliches and actually rather dull.

It was really funny but corny at some points but I think it was pretty decent for a comedy movie specially compared to Dumb and Dumber To. That movie was very boring and so was Outcast and Lemmon Tree Passage.

It is based on a true story based in Virginia, USA in the early 1990s to early 2000s. Great movie. The problem was that only 1/2 of the story ended up being told because the movie came out in 2005.

I would love for them to release a sequel or re-make with the updated version. Legal proceedings were involved that were quite relevant to the ending.

I saw it too and was disappointed as well.

SPOILER ALERT* So after the six long hours of the first two movies where all the hype was building around battling Smaug.. it turns out the fucker dies in the first five minutes and the rest of the movie is just pussy fighting over his treasure.

I didnt even catch the second hobbit movie, I guess I should see it before I watch the last one (I know Tolkien's story but I dont know Peter Carlos*son's story). I wish the cinemas would do some screenings of the old ones aswell at this time, people would buy tickets!

Unbroken - not too bad, not too good. I dont know, technically this is difficult to fault, it told a good story and it told it well. It was well shot and well acted but with enough subtlety not to overwhelm the story (despite a little bit of scenery chewing from the Japanese lead) and, as I did not know the story at all before, I feel I gained something from watching it. BUT, it did absolutely nothing new whatsoever - dont worry about spoilers, all of this is in the trailer - it existed in three separate stages - early life (told through flashbacks during war service), lost at sea, imprisoned in Japan. Each one is fairly distinct, and quite good, but each improved not one jot on previous presentations of similar scenarios. The only thing new was having them all together. It is a decent movie, especially for the festive season, it is just pure Hollywood - and I dont entirely hate that - just dont expect any surprises, any genre twists, any quirks or basically anything to make it especially memorable.

Enemy - Awesome movie. Memento-esque in the sense that it leaves you thinking. It seems open to interpretation, but done beautifully. Totally recommend it.
