League/Roster changes cause career crashes?

I installed sweetpatches new beta EPL roster updates and i try to start a new career. Everything works fine until about the 4th game when its me (manchester united) versus Charlton. I can play or simulate that game, but post-game, when the computer simulates the rest of the leagues games, it crashes to the desktop at 70%. I am wondering if it is because theres a fixture clash because the new rosters promoted sunderland, wigan, and west ham? can anyone make an educated guess here? thanks in advance

I havent got any career hacks on... I've started with Celtic..

Perhaps i should email the guy that did the roster?

Did you make a backup of your fifa.db and eng.db ? if you did then yust copy them to your cmn and fe directory, I had a same problem , but now its working

Yeah... I got the game working again, with the old rosters...


But i want the news ones, dang it! :bouncy:


It does say 'beta' version... hopefully when the transfer window closes we'll get another one that actually works..

My educated guess is that one of the teams it screwed up in some way. Maybe one team doesn't have enough player, or has too many. It could be a number of things.

The way to find out is to go to tournament mode, start a league tournament with every team, go down the list, and the first team that crashes means it the team before the one you just selected,

If it's not that, it could be the promotion relegation thing. But, i'm sceptical that it is

Tai... I went ahead and updated the EPL rosters myself..

Ive payed no attention to any other league in the whole game, which is why i wont bother releasing it.. But if you'd like i can send it to you?

I did all the EPL teams, Celtic, Rangers, and of course, Leeds...

Im not exactly a purest... im only worried about the premiership..

SO!! do you want it?

BAH! i started a new season, got two games in, and it crashed... giving me the same error...

That bassicly confirms that it is the 'Replace Team' thing thats doing it... I used the exact same database i used with my last career, and it worked fine..

The problem it seems is Creation Center, I've added whole leagues, with promotion relegation, and it works fine, but I've done a lot of my editing without CC, especially with tournaments, and leagues, which you can't do inside CC. but I've never done anything with the leagues in Europe. So maybe that could be a problem, but I don't know

I could do the same thing inside those European leagues and see what happens. Are you guys playing with the Premier League inside Career mode your first season? How are you doing that?

Theres a thread around somewhere that shows you how to change the database to get the premiership in your first season... you only have to change 1 digit..

But that's not the problem.. ive tried it with and without the mod..

I'm certain it's the promotion/relegation thing.... I put my old db back in the game again and sim'd through 6 or 7 games and it was sweet... (the same db i used to make the new rosters)

Ive give up on Career mode :) Ive promoted Leeds, dropped Wigan... and am playing the premiership in Tournament mode...

STILL! would be nice if someone could get it to work...
