Disaster in Switzerland

FC Basel defeated Legia 1:6 in the second game of the Uhren Cup in Switzerland. Legia's defenders made some simple mistakes in the first half. The Swiss quickly established a lead and then added another goal just a minute before half-time. Iwański scored the only goal for Legia, but this wasn't enough for FC Basel today. They replied with a goal from Pascal Schurpf and added another two just before the final whistle. It is the biggest defeat since 2001 when Legia lost to Valencia CD 1:6 in the second round of UEFA Cup at Mestalla Stadium. Next week, Legia will play against a Belarusian side FK Homel in the pre-eliminary round of UEFA Cup.

Legia will face FK Moscow in 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Cup; it's quite good team but also beatable. I hope for a good result and promotion to the next round. I can't wait for the Warszawa derby though.

ok, so Legia placed 2nd in Polish ekstraklasa at the end of the season and will play Europa League next season.

But there is one good information. The dream becames to the true - New stadium is under constrction!
