Liga Argentina, Clausura 06/07 FINAL MATCH: Boca Juniors vs. Estudiantes LP[P+R]

El Diablo Rojo

Starting XI
VS.

Stadium: Vélez Sarsfield's stadium

Name: José Amalfitani. "El Fortín".
Capacity: 50,000.
Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Referee: Sergio Pezotta.
Kick-off: 5:00pm GMT -3(Time of Argentina).

Boca and Estudiantes have to play this match because they tied in points(44) at the end of the last matchday, this is the first time such happens since they introduced Aperturas and Clausuras. Rules say the match must be played in a neutral pitch 72 hours after the end of the last matchday. The selected stadium for this match was Racing Club's, but apparently it's been rented since 2 months ago for a charity concert or something of the sort, right the same day of this match. River Plate's stadium was out of question since Boca doesn't want to know anything about it, so the stadium of choice was Vélez Sarsfield's which also is very accesable for the people from La Plata, right next to the highway.

Well, well seeing that Gimnasia LP is friends with Racing, then i guess i should support Estudiantes on this one.;) That and the fact that i hate Boca.:D

So my prediction is Estudiantes will win 145-0. Verón(x20), Pavone(x67), Alayes(x33), Braña(x23) and Andújar(x4).(6)

Now seriously, i think Estudiantes can get a 3-0 win here, Pavone(x2) and Alayes to score.:ewan:

HAHHA Lavolpe sucks. All Boca had to do was draw at least one of their last 2 fixtures and they lose both. Go to the final because of the draw on points and lose thier as well. Boca before Lavolpe was untouchable.

Forza Estudiantes!!!!

:boohoo: = boca y latorpe....

minor suggestion you didnt need a new thread for one game even if it is a final. you could have posted all this info in arge. league thread....

Boca Fans.

Now you know what we had to deal with.
Welcome to the club.

If I were you, I would have Lavolpe burned on the middle of the field, just to purge the club from his curse.

:funny:

Possibly, but as i've seen people making threads about matches of other leagues, that aren't exactly derbies, and this was a final, that's why i made this thread.

Well well, guess Estudiantes once again made history. Serves right for Boca 2 weeks ago they were already celebrating their championship, hahah.

Estudiantes played so-so in the first half, but in the second half... Man, Braña and Sosa had the match of their lives, i don't think i ever saw Verón to run as much as he did yesterday on the second half.

I believe when Boca was winning 1-0 they already were losing the match when they subed Schellotto for that dip**** Marino. Schellotto and Bobadilla were the best players of Boca in my opinion.

Pavone's goal... it was amazing i can't stop watching it over and over.

With this championship, they earn their 11th title on their professional history(6 domestic and 5 international).

Here some pictures.

Awesome game. One of the best I have seen this year. The crowd was great, singing the whole game and no violence. Three beautiful goals.

dude I LOVE Lavolpe (sounded gay I know :funny: )

but for only 1 reason. 1 interview he had during his Mexico National Team run in univision <or azteca...one of them>. And he was saying how "Mexico has a hard time developing historically cause they produce 1-2 "cracks" <great players/elites in spanish> in their history.........and out of nowhere he doesnt mention Argentina.......but URUGUAY (I was like "WTF") , and says a nation 100X smaller produces 3-4 per generation..........."is just mind blowing" <<<<<it came out of nowhere too..........but after that I always started to like LAvolpe :D :D >>>>>

Lavolpe   (for standing up to Boca's bull **** and obviously knowing his football :D :D ) haha.
