cheers pede, couldn't have pointed that out better than u did...........
Also, u could've mentioned Carlos Walker for Blackburn.....

And have times changed since? Most of the owners are filthy rich days, look at Hicks and the Glazers, its just about the same us, except Roman actually attends most of our games and gives a $hit about our club..................

Forgive me bringing this up in your club's thread, but we're all the same, it doesn't give u an excuse to hate us, just hate us and be honest, we don't and won't care.......we are have been loathed by many since the day Abramovich took over......

cheers and Happy April Fs Day....

Eng4WorldCup is a gooner Zakov, and you know how sqeaky clean they think their club is. They like to forget that their club has always been backed by money from a boardroom full of millionaires.

....and while we are on the subject of scummy Arsenal...I hope you Reds not only beat Le Arse in your next 3 games with them, but I hope that you beat them well.

So just how optimistic are you about tonight?

I am seriously considering a bet at a 1-1 result with Liverpool to go through on penalties. I can see myself biting my nails throughout the game unless we get an early goal.

The BIGGEST SCREW job since Bret Hart. How much did those American owners pay those refs for those BULLISH PK calls???????? Just like they fixed the matches its clear they favored your team. No pks for us all for the rest.

Starting XI
It was a penalty, just like it was a penalty by Kuyt on Hleb. Refs make crap decisions all the time, and not only against Arsenal. Sure, it's tough to lose that way, especially with so much at stake. But this is football. Then again, while it was a doubtful penalty, you had a clear cut chance to score with Adebayor, before Theo's wonder play. And Bendtner denied you a goal. Surely the Americans paid for those too?

Well there remember that Liverpool Will never Walk alone

As a football fan Liverpool didn´t diserve the draw at Emirates

As a football and Liverpool fan, Liverpool diserve this winning at Anfield. Today we saw a great example about what is futbol

It was a close game, with both teams looking that they were going through over a ten minute period.

i think it was a penalty although after the Kuyt no decision it could easily have not been given. Some defensive lapses, where Senderos lost Hyppia and when no Liverpool player would take a yellow for the team by pulling Walcott down

All in all a much better game than the Premier League game, whilst I am glad Liverpool have gone through I would have cheered on Arsenal in the next round had they beaten us.

I don't think it was that close a game. Liverpool's defending was really all over the place. Very disappointing especially after taking a one-goal lead, expected better from them.

Also, Carra as the over-lapping Right-wing-back? no good. the last time he played in this position, everyone remembered he put 2 past David James in his own goal!

I am not the biggest fan of Carragher playing at right back when we need to attack, but defensive wise he does give some extra stability to the position, and will stop crosses all day long. He will also run his heart out trying to get up the other end and cross himself - although looking at his face at half time and full time against Arsenal it did look like he was going to have a heart attack.

I have a feeling though that if we do buy Rafinha that he will play a head of a right back in a right wing position, but I am not a big fan of playing players out of position, although Wenger managed to make it work for Henry

Would rather see Carragher in the centre and Finnan in the right back position but it seems that Finnan may be dropping down the pecking order

Absolutely unlucky today. I never thought Pool would dominate this game the way they did. Chelseas midfield was horrible. Cole, Ballack and Lamps had horrible games and they still managed to get a 1-1 draw.

struggle we did, but we're still getting the results.....and thats what matters

Looking back I think the turning point of the match was Aurelio getting injured.....if he hadn't gone off, Riise wouldn't have replaced him......
but we did have some clear cut opportunities for Malouda and Lamps, all well defended by Carragher......

Help?

Yes you are right. Chelsea has been playing some pretty bad football lately by their standards, but they got the results they wanted most of the time.

The injury time goal is a blow and puts chelsea as a slight favourite. With Liverpool's goalscoring record at Stamford Bridge it is not looking good, but a Liverpool goal could easily change the tie once again

Saying that though of the team's left I would rather see Chelsea win than Barca or Man U. In fact I would rather lose to chelsea in the semi than Man U in the final
