Nice to win, but we were outplayed for long periods of the game. Good enough to be qualified, I don't care who we get in the next rounds.

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez ruled out a January move for Newcastle's Michael Owen after his side stuttered to a 0-0 draw against West Ham at Anfield.

It seems pretty clear to me that one of the, if not the biggest, reasons for our recent dip in form is Benitez' contract situation. It is a distraction and needs to be resolved FAST!!! Honestly, Gillette and Hicks have not handled this situation very professionally at all.

UPDATE: Torres is now expected to be out ATLEAST an additional 2 weeks. The hamstring injury is worse than thought.

3-1 victory over struggling Blackburn. Alonso and Yossi with goals 10 minutes apart and Gerrard in injury time to ease the pressure after Santa Cruz pulled one back. Much needed goals after 180 scoreless minutes. Allows us to keep up the pace with Arsenal and Chelsea both managing to win.

A repeat of the scoreline from a few days ago, 3-1 in favor of us. Plus Atletico draws so we win the group. Now, if you had told me at the start of the group stages that we'd win the group I'd have been more than satisfied. But there were 2 rather disturbing end results to 2 other groups that leaves us with the potential of facing either one of those groups' BIG-CLUB runner ups. So I say this, now that we've won the group and all (you know faced a BIG CLUB in the first knockout stage LAST year).....

PLEASE PPPLLLLEEEAAASSEEE don't give us Inter, Real Madrid or Chelsea in the next round.

I'm hoping for the same thing lol...if it happens again then...ill cry lol (j/k)

But knowing our luck especially in this competition we're probably gonna get nailed with Barcelona...

Anyways, great campaign for Liverpool so far

well, because of the way the draw works, you shouldn't worry about drawing Chelsea. But you still have Bayern, Villareal, on top of Inter, to worry about..

Probably best for him to stay away from that sort of thing. He's using last year's strong second half finish as the basis for those comments. We were sizzling down the stretch last season......he's trying to get players to draw on that experience and replicate it. I think he's trying to inject some confidence in his players.

Well a team usually wins the league due to other teams slipping up, as much as it's down to how the team performs over the season. We all rely on other teams messing up.

Chelsea have more of a chance of winning it if other teams slip up. So do United and so do Liverpool. I think it's an observation that states the obvious really. I don't think it means anything we didn't already know.

Bad timing.....jinxed us...2-2 at home is unacceptable. His attempts at making similar bold comments in the past have not worked. He simply needs to shut up.

Only Benitez and the media thought Keane would ever succeed at Liverpool. He is an average player, who might poach a goal or two in his time, but is not the prolific goalscorer that some would like to believe. He has been very over rated during his career.

Most people apart from Benitez, knew that £20 million for Keane was a joke, and Keane so far this season has proved that to be a fact. Benitez doesn't even know (or care it seems), how best to play him, so it's easier for Rafa to not play him at all.

If he doesn't stay at Liverpool, he'll go back to Spurs. Simply because not many clubs in the EPL would want him to be honest.

Crouch over Keane any day for me.

I'm sure he regrets leaving Spurs. He's been a complete and utter waste for us. All this crap about him being a Liverpool fan since his childhood...around 2 years ago he was seen at a bar celebrating Celtic's league title victory. I couldn't care less if we let him go right now...
