As far as Crouch is concerned, we just couldn't work him into the lineup enough to keep him happy with his playing time. Can't blame him for leaving.....Benitez just did not have him in his plans. Torres' late season flurry masked a lot......the true quality of this team is yet to be seen.

Yeah it's a shame about Crouchy, but playing time is important to a player. Especially a guy like Crouch who loves every minute on the pitch. I like him a lot.
If Crouch didn't fit into Rafa's plans, then why relace him with Keane who also does not fit into Rafa's plans? Surely he would have been better off keeping Crouch (and playing him), saving the club £20 million, and adjusting his tactics somewhat to accomodate the player. I dunno. I just don't understand what Benitez thought he was getting when he got a woody for Keane.

So we have drawn the All Conquering Real Madrid in the first knockout round of the Champions League.
We were supposed to have "luck" against Chelsea last season.....and they beat us proper.

We need to recover our form....I think that's more important than staying on top by 1 point. Just a very frustrating time right now............the points are there for the the taking, and we've let them slip.
Big 3-0 win over Bolton...Keane scored twice to silence his critics. Much needed....we had to keep up the pace and we managed to do that.

I agree a skillful left/right winger somebody who will give even more speed on the counter.......sell dossena and pennant to make the money and go for Aiden Mcgeady from celtic 10m....if not that we should get Glen Johnson both would be perfect
Yeah, I think a LW should be the top priority. Oh, and quickly squash rumors of Arsenal swooping in for Xabi Alonso (he came off the bench against Newcastle).
Yeah, honestly, we could have had many more. We should have finished the game in the 1st half, rather than giving them hope at 2-1.
