Seriously though... I think he's a good player, and we need a centre back... if he starts over Hyypia or not, I guess that'd depend on the opposition we're faced (even though I think rotating Centre backs is not usually good)

as for Baros scoring on his debut... I'm pretty sure he'll score loads... and if the barcodes get Owen, he'll score all those sitters he used to miss when playing for us...

I dont see Pool challenging for the title in EPL this season yet. Around 3rd-4th should do. We need a talented attacking mid. and well, a striker (as long as our coach decides to give him more than 3 or 4 shots before considering to sell the lad....).

I' d say 4th for the next maybe 2 seasons but there is a chance for 3rd after that if Arsenal trip up. A lot will depend on the health of the captain but also on the ability of the manager to find a replacement for Hyppia. This is a defence oriented team..goals(not that many) will come from somewhere but defence is what will carry this team...not signings like Zenden If Cisse leaves, Owen MUST become a priority!

Im not a pool fan (thank god ) but the conspiracy theorist in me says the Cisse thing might have something to do with wanting to de-Houllify the club. After all, Cisse was the record signing a year ago, but why he wouldnt be given another chance, as well as the selling of Baros is totally beyond me.

Spurs have also been linked to Carlton Cole () which would make alot more sense, considering Cisse is a pacier finisher, which they seem to already have in Defoe, whereas Cole is the target man who can backup Mido.

But I cant fault them over the amount, because 8 million pounds compared to the 14 million they paid seems like a half decent return for Liverpool, given their sudden and unexplainable eagerness to dump Cisse

Why do they want to sell Cisse? If they're going to sell someone, it should be Morientes (or Crouch). Moro's done nothing since his arrival, nothing to warrant a first-team start over Cisse. And the latest on Owen is they'll only accept him back on a year's loan. Why can't Owen take the hint? You're not wanted back, dude! Either sign for Newcastle or fight it out at Real!

Yes goddamit he is. I just heard on BBC that Owen's agreed t join Newcastle I doubt Rafa(unless he's completely lost it) would sell Cisse now. Not at least until the next transfer window & by then Cisse should have enough chances to proove himself
