Last season we lost Luis Suarez... We all knew that was happening... This season Sturridge was injured a lot, Balotelli didn't do anything with the few minutes he got, Lambert is getting old, Borini hardly got a game. Our most prolific "striker" was Sterling... A youngster who's gotten way into his head about how big he's got...

Really hope there's truth to this and it might happen

We're buying in bulk again this season, but are we buying in quality bulk? We need to kick it up this season, we've had too many ones where we're "rebuilding"

We need results, can't keep rebuilding... The heart of LFC is gone, Steven Gerrard, but the body remains, The rest of the squad needs to step up, play like the give a damn about the club, the tradition, the history.

I dare believe this season will be great, but I always do. LETS GO REDS!!

When you walk through the storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark

Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Sterling is exactly the kind of players for City: trolls. 50 m for that piece of crap? Depay was available for less than half. Can't wait to see on what garbage Liverpool spend this on. They already spent like half of that on Firmino which I think is decent in comparison to the Sterling money. Firmino may become as good as Sterling I think.

Having flushed most of the Suarez money down the toilet, how would you guys recommend spending the Sterling money?
Well we are definitely going to waste it on Benteke. Far too much like Ballotelli to do well under Rodgers.

However, I'd love to see it wasted on someone else just for a laugh. Perhaps buy back Carroll at 30m.

Happy with rest of signings like I say but losing sterling and replacing him with Benteke is retarded. Rodgers will be gone by November.

Benteke would be a great buy but not for that price. He would be a reliable backup for Sturridge, kind of like what Loic Remy was for Chelsea last season. Good buy but 2 times morr expensive than he should be.

I still disagree. Completely wrong kind of striker for a Rodgers team and a bizarre signing. Would rather have Hernandez from United to be honest.

Sturridge isn't a 9 imo

Oh and tits.
Agree with Nady that Benteke could be a great buy but not for that price.

I do think Liverpool have recruited pretty well this summer. Good balance. If Rodgers doesn't get results and performances, he should be sacked. That's A LOT of money spent and he finally has a well balanced group of players.

None of his signings are worldclass though. I guess good for a Europa team but not quite enough to challenge for the title.

Benteke could be good signing, though he was more impressive a year ago. I don't think he has many strings to his bow and probably teams are working out how to stop him, plus he can be injury prone. He deserves to be at a better club than villa and whilst I think you overpaid, he should add something, in tandem with Sturridge. But yeah, you need more.

Where to now for Balotelli now? I think he'll come good if he plays this season, and I don't mean being brought out for the last 10-15 mins of the game. I think most of the reason for his bad season were linked to personal issues he had.

Sturridge and Benteke actually have similar scoring records, and are a similar age. Benteke obviously achieved his at a less good club, but his 'best' season was a year before that of Sturridge. Benteke will clearly be the main man though, at that price.
