Oh and tits.
World Class signings are not gonna happen for Liverpool. Its better they chose to shape a balanced squad to get results, first and create a platform.

Man Utd have done the same thing over the past two seasons in shaping the squad first .Arsenal did the same after Van Persie's departure. Also, Liverpool can't attract the level of player that they could since they can offer nothing. No world class big name manager, no guarantee of CL football, title challenge, no top class players to play with and the only potential world class players just left.

What Benteke could bring I guess is a proven target man with hold up play for the box to box midfield players through the middle in Henderson and Milner while the the two inside forwards- Coutinho and Firmino- play off of him, too. Or another system with Sturridge and Benteke upfront.

They don't have a midfield playmaker and are unlikely to find one.

I don't want it to happen, for obvious reasons, but if Kovacic signed for Liverpool, it could be worth seeing something different in the PL.

How many of them would go to Pool? The bottom rung guys have gone to Atleti (currently bigger) and Milan (historically bigger, arguably).

Liverpool could sign anyone if they had a manager who has pedigree as a Champions League winner ...

arguably? it's a fact ... what's to debate?

Liverpool has only 2 fewer CL Titles (and those two were from the sixties) and has won the English League just as often as Milan has won the Italian league. Just because Milan got a sugardaddy in the 80s/90s doesn't make them historically better. You can absolutely argue that Liverpool is right on par with Milan historically. I probably wouldn't, but it's not outrageous at all; there's certainly no "fact" that Milan is greater.

The Von Trapps
you're dismissing 2 CL titles like it's a walk in the park ... all you've said is that Liverpool are close, but it's still a fact that Milan's history is superior ...

Okay, so in that case Milan is historically a better club than Manchester United and Juventus? Because if 2 CL Titles is so significant, how about 5. Ask one of your Italian friends if Milan is bigger than Juve.

And going back to Liverpool. Liverpool are wealthier and play in a better league.

The Von Trapps
wealthier *now* ... "better" -- aka wealthier again -- *now* ... of all people, I expect you to understand that everything is cyclical ...

Milan v Liverpool in the historical sense is about weight of titles overall ... it's a fact that Milan wins ...

Milan v Juve in the historical sense is about local preference ... Juve is "Italy's team" because 2 more scudetto stars and an ItalJuve reputation makes it easy for most people around the country to get behind the Nazionale's core, and support Juve as their second team ...

I imagine that if your doctor told you you had 6 months to live you would stubbornly ask him about the exact date.

Notable incidents in history
Hillsborough
Heysel

When you walk through the storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark

Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Predictions for this year? Reckon we'll again struggle to break the top four. City and United have both strengthened and Arsenal and Chelsea will be strong again. Can see us finishing above the rest though.

Having said that, with the start we've got I'm not sure Rodgers will be in a job come Christmas.
