im feeling so disgusted right now... none of those players that were out there deserve to wear the LFC shirt... cept for Stevie and Pepe. NESV need to give the club a full overhaul starting with the manager

Sell Torres while he can still give some good cash and buy Vucinic as the replacement.....

There is a Merseysider by the name of Wayne Rooney whom we should be going after.....when we sell Fernando Torres.

Yeah but he will cost a lot and I doubt he'd want to go to a club that's at the bottom three and in such a crisis anyways. No, City will be the destination. I'd suggest not to waste time with trying to get him and try to find a proper replacement.

He's only 24. He has 6-8 years left, including the prime of his career.

Now, onto more pressing matters....we're stable. For the first time in a long time, we ARE..............STABLE!

On the field is a different story and can change in the blink of an eye.

Plus, he's good friends with Gerrard.

Well, good luck but I still think it is pointless. People like him focus on their career first-hand. That's why he is leaving United in the first place.

Don't get too excited. I mean sure, you have got some great wins but if you get too relaxed and self-confident now, you will pay the price.

Now, that was the way to start off the new year. A much needed home win over a team having a good season to-date.

Joe Cole with a possibly controversial goal. But what's done is done. Time to move on. I'm not complaining.

A Vital Three Points!

According to the BBC, former Hoffenheim boss Ralf Rangnick is interested in managing Liverpool, according to his agent.

I am a big fan of what he has done with Hoffenheim. We don't really have much to choose from. My list of candidates would be:

1. Martin O'Neill: I thought he was the frontrunner when Rafa got the job in 2004. I want him to be the next manager of Liverpool.
2. Rafael Benitez: What can I say.....only good memories of his tenure with us.
3. Ralf Rangnick: A similar appointment to Juande Ramos who managed Spurs recently. Despite any possible language barrier, he won't be given much room for error. But I think he's the kind of guy who can get us back to the top 4.
4. Kenny Dalglish: Please no! He's a short term fix. I can't see him being much more than an interim guy.
5. Steve McLaren: Face it, his name will pop up in this discussion. I don't want him though.

The pool is rather thin. There isn't much to choose from.

Please hire Benitez. Just in case Carlo gets sacked, I would feel much more at ease knowing that Rafa can't replace him.

That would be awesome (H)

It would be rather different a second time around. He wouldn't be arguing with the owners every 2nd day. He would be able to focus on managing.

3-1 loss to Blackburn.

No worries. It was a day of upsets. Chelsea and Spurs both lost as well. We're not moving forward but we aren't moving backwards either.

Expect Roy Hodgson to be on his way out. It just hasn't worked out here for him. He isn't capable of managing high expectations. At Fulham, they finished 7th 2 seasons ago and he was congratulated on a great job....it really wasn't a great job by him. Expectations were so low that 7th felt like a 1st place finish for them. We're clearly not in the same situation. Expectations, at Liverpool, are very different.

hodgson was a good teacher and manager of less than star players... great at fulham and would be equally adept with any mid to low table team. liverpool needs a manager with a proven record of success at the highest level, not just good performances but trophies
