Lokomotiv continues undefeated streak

Youth Team
Lokomotiv Moscow played its 17th match of the season, still without a defeat. They have 10 wins and 7 ties, 0 losses. With addition of last season, this is their 24th match without a loss. They have scored the most goals in the league (26) and conceded only 4 (!).

They're also playing in the CL this fall. You guys better watch out. This is working out to be their best season so far. We'll be competing for the cup this year. :)

CSKA sucks. ;)

anyways, when you get to 49 unbeaten in one of the top leagues in the world then make a thread (N)

I agree that 17 games isn't a big deal, but it's not easier to stay 49 games unbeaten in Russia then it is in EPL.

Help?

Unless your squad is of Man Utd/Arsenal/Chelsea quality.

People tend to think the EPL is a strong league, it isnt. The quality below the top 4, well top 5 last season,(Arsenal, ManU, Chelsea and Liverpool) is shockingly bad.

Russia has a lot of teams competing for the first place. Lokomotiv, CSKA, Zenit, Spartak. This year, Rubin is also doing very well (in 3rd place right now). FC Moskva is definitely aiming for medals, as well as Dinamo. Torpedo used to be competing for the medals earlier this seasons just like Krylya Sovetov did. Both clubs are suffering from money problems right now. Our competition is high, and the level is getting closer to the EPL every year.

And. Loko raped Inter's ass last time they met in the CL so eat that. Remember the Khoklov header from like 20 yards out? That's right :-P

Plus, Loko always starts ****ty every season and they also have a new coach. Yuri Semin, who made Loko the team that it is, is coaching the national team right now so his assistant is the head coach. W/e. We'll see how your Arsenals and Inters will do against Loko in the CL. Two years ago Loko wasn't considered an easy opponent.

hehe, common. You getting a little over optimistic there. For Russians to get to the level of other european super powers will be almost impossible. What CSKA achieved is great, but they also had a lot of luck doing that. To win the CL the russians will have to have more luck than anyone ever before or get Abramovich to finally stop wasting your own money on english and actually give them back to the russians, all that he stole from them. Otherwise the league time will always get in a way and the winter season will always compromise the performance of russians against the europe's best.

i'll settle for the final, or maybe semis :-P

two years ago, loko made it to the 1/8. and i still think the damn ref screwed us over. so i think we can make it another 2 steps at least. its possible.

we'll see. at any rate, im pumped for this CL more than any other one.

wat a load of crap, Spurs, Bolton, Boro, even clubs that didnt finish in the top ten like Newcastle and Blackburn gave the top 4 - 5 gud games last season.

They wouldnt end in the top 10 in the other big leagues, like Italy or Spain.

De Graafschap and FC Den Bosch gave Ajax tough games too, does that make them competitive? No

Only 37 points out of a possible 51 (N) That sucks
you know, the Russian Premierleague is way more competitive then the Eredivisie. we got three different champions in last four seasons, while you got two in... in how many years?

That means what exactly? The top 4 of the Eredivisie will still easily beat any Russian team they encounter.

Uhuh...it does'nt matter how competitive a league is, it does'nt show good the league is. Tajikistans league may be very competitive with 5 teams having a good chance at winning the title, it does'nt mean that the league is better then Norwegian league with Rosenborg winning 281649258 titles in a row :(

Not that Russian league sucks or anything...
