A few of the surviving members of the group Sublime formed this band a while ago but i just started getting into them now. If you havent heard of them and you like Sublime/Reggae music, you have to check these guys out.

Nah, Brad was Sublime. With all respect to Eric and Bud, I will not buy their album because Brad Nowell was far and away an incredible music genious and I don't want to hear lesser music from less passionate artists. Sounded mean, it wasn't intended to be, I just loved Brad.

That's a tad narrowminded IMO.
Just because you respect Brad or think he's the greatest, doesn't mean that nobody else is worthy, does it?

So now you're only going to ever listen to Sublime for the rest of your life because nobody else is as good??

No. Because to my understanding LBDA are playing very similar music and I don't want to hear that kind of music sans Brad. I believe that if anyone other than Brad was the lead singer of Sublime I wouldn't like them.

I don't know if I will be able to get you to understand that what you're saying is silly, so this is my last attempt.

What you're saying is like saying that you like icecream, but you LOVE vanilla icecream. You think vanilla is the best. But if you can't have vanilla, then you don't even want to try ANYTHING else because you KNOW, (without even trying anything else) that vanilla is the greatest. So why even bother trying any other icecream?

I agree with you that Sublime (with Brad) was the best. But he's gone now. Move on. Don't close your mind.

I haven't, I've heard some of LBDAs stuff and I don't care for it namely because Brad brought an innovation and passion to the genre that is unmatched by any member of the new band. I don't normally like jam bands, which is pretty close to what Sublime is sans Brad Nowell.
